Hello there...i just passed TP and decided to get a KR.. so i just wanted some advice on whether to get new KR for about 7-8K

 

or get a 9 year old KR with another 10 year COE extended and a new paintwork for about 3.7K...

 

and if I am going to get the 2nd hand bike, what are the things i need to test on the bike to see if there is any engine problem?

 

Where is a good place to get brand new KE and 2nd hand KR?

Uncle also can get lost? U can stop TP and ask for direction if you want.(actually happen when I was stopped one side by TP and one uncle stop by and ask tp for direction. Very brave uncle! If I get lost, no petrol, bike going spoil or wad also I wun stop a TP)

err... bro.. depending on your finance status.. if your $$$ is ok.. go for 1st hand.. at least everything is new.. 2nd hand has no "guarranty" that everything is good condition..

it's not worth of 3.7K unless it's is extremely nice paintwork OR just overhaul with all GEARS changed. (gears is the most expensive/around 500~800 for whole set)

 

we just take example.. you purchase 3.7k. 7k-3.7k=3.3k

repair fees or some other fees

wear and tear- chain (good ones) $120~$170

tyres - battlax $190~$200

carb (stock) estimated $200 (correct me if i'm wrong)

block - $500

piston/piston ring - $150

valve- $40~$50 (correct me if i'm wrong)

wheel bearing - front $10 back $30

swing arm bearing - $50

 

total: (Max) around $1400 excluding those super small or big ones like screws and etc

 

Worst stuff that could happen, piston jam, accident and etc...

time wasted and all that all these --->> priceless...

 

Unless you so ki sui like me.. first day got bike, within one month, i go for full service.. I go to my trust bike shop daily and ask if this is ok, that is ok.. and will accident anot.. even now.. I go back on a monthly basis, ask them to check all my bearings..

 

If suay suay,

Gears/engine bearings- $700+++
