Agree with you. Normally by the 3-4th model everything will be fine tuned. See how the YP400 '07 model diff from '04 model.

Ya lor, now thinking of getting the rear absorbers, back rest and chromed handle stabilisers :)

Stock headlights are 35/35watts, you need to upgrade the wire harness to fit 55/60watt bulbs.

Also, normal H4 bulbs will not fit properly, you gotta flatten the two small tabs at the bottom of the bulb for them to fit.

I'm using 55/60watt Philips Premium bulbs btw. Costs less than $20, doubles the output of the stock bulbs. Good enough for me! :thumb:

If only the new features are available on the majesty 400, then it will be lagi more expensive!

And I'd line up to buy~!

Hi guys, i'm majestyboy and new here!!!

I rode FQ YP250 mk1 in 2001~2003. Then, silly me, itchy hand go buy car...

Now, i sold car and.... i just got a FP mk1 again. It so fun to ride a majesty again!!

After changing the belt(DIY parts from auto machinary) and sponge air filter, i go for test ride at woodlands "beach", the jetty beside the causeway. When coming back to woodlands again, i notice steam from the seat below and temp rising to H.

I stop the scooter to cool down and can hear hissing sound and coolent dripping from below the engine. After i rode back to my mscp, i inspect, top up water...

I finds coolent seeping out of engine head gasket !!! sian...

Maybe tonight i'll inpect the fan rotor and check the water thermostat function.

Help.. anybody experience this? How to solve - without going to workshop.

What could be the possible cause? I'm thinking, must be pump fan kong, causing water in the engine to become steam......

I remember last time my LC kia also always pump shaft rust.....

Did you check yur coolant too? Loking at the colour, it look like it hasn't been change for a long time.

Posted

cck: Ya man.. looks like funny colour.

Gotta change coolant and engine oil this weekend.

These are the few things we do when we buy a second hand scooter to feel safer.

Need advise. When i park main stand and check the rear suspension by shaking sideways, there is free play. Seem like the swing arm bushing is lengleng.

Do you all change the bushing periodically?

Insterestingly the swing are main shaft is not bolted to the fame directly. There is another secondary sub arm, like u-shape(pic left). Anyone notice that? What's the purpose?

Oh ya, the link point looks bent. no cracks, should be ok
