How to safeguard your S4 from theft?

Disclaimer: No method is 100% foolproof, the belowmentioned methods MAY just delay or deter thieves from striking on your precious ride.

1. Use disc rotor locks when parking

2. Cover your vehicle whenever possible.

3. Park in places with regular human traffic

4.

Hi, bro

Beware ur S4 parking if u go JB.

Better install alarm or put extra lock on disk.

I lost my PB1(1997) last week in Citi plaza in front CITI Bank. The thief all got master key to turn on all type S4 according to JB police. I went there to do payment. Just ten minute came out fr bank my PB1 had gone.

So sad ......

One simple way to disarm the alarm is to cut the alarm wire. Very fast one.

Some aftermarket alarms have their own "power source" (lithium battery) for backup. In the event the alarm power is cut off from main battery, the alarm will still be chirping.

So it is important for you to tidy up and hide the alarm wires carefully. This not only gives your bike a clean look, but also makes it more difficult for the thief to disarm the alarm.

PS. DO NOT SHARE WITH OTHERS ABOUT HOW YOU LAY YOUR ALARM CABLES....YOU WILL NEVER KNOW YOU ENEMY UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE

Do you have any recommendation for the Alarm?

I heard from some seller that ppl used to get battery problem after installed alarm system. So it is not advised to install alarm.

However, I still prefer to have alarm as I feel that will be more secure. Is there any good brand to recommend?

Thanks.

Been using Scorpio for 3 years now. So far so good. It has a fuse of 10amp which I think the unit does not exceed that, thus is very very low consumption.

Like SparkerS1 says....prepare for the price. You may wanna look at other brands too.

yeah..I agreed that most of the people will just give a look or glance if the alarm goes off for cars or bike..because the sound can be very irritating..

I'm curious too the last time when my bike alarm came with lots of feature like remote autostart, ignition tampering, vibration, etc..except the ability to trigger off if a part of your bike is removed off without creating any caused to movement or vibration.

In the end, decided to do a simple unit and have sensor anywhere I want...like the gang_tong :)

Like suspension n end can, I do hear from some bro is to weld it. I also have enquiry the price to weld s4 suspension either is bitubo or showa, cost at $60 and can be done at Seng Kwang. The $60 is only 1st time payment, if future u want to un-weld or re-weld it, you only need to pay a labour cost to them but not sure how much?

Maybe will try this protection...:cheeky:

Initially i have the same reaction as u.. after i read from the forum got one bro was mentioned that, "how often do u need to take out your suspension"? and i understand from Seng Kwang mechanic, they will add one thing like a lock to weld your screw and it will not damage your bike.... I not really sure how they did, but I will probably go for a try...

I would recommend Xena disc lock alarm..around 60 bucks..IMO, its very much better than normal disc lock.

*this is to prevent only.

Xena

I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought. If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much.
