Hi Chrislayer,

I suffered this situation before too. RPM wldn't increase beyond a certain range, speed wldn't go beyond 60km/hr. Water somehow gotten into 1 of the 2 sparkplugs. Blow dry the sparkplug holder and replaced the plug. Problem solved.

 

It should not the fuel filter contaminated with water. If it is, water will get into the fuel pump, damaging it and water starts getting into the engine....enginewill not even start. I just found that out the hard way. Paid $900 for a new fuel pump and filter ;(

 

Cld have used that $$ to upgrade the shocks.....

 

 

 

yOU NOT 1st one bro.. i went thru tat around 6mths ago...

got myself a BIG loin cloth cover already....with a BIG S logo.. hahaha

Hi bro.. have u enquire GIVI agent @ Mah motor... She might be able to order for u GIVI DL650 specific side bracket... n best she offered me a good deal for the trekker recently... It was a good deal... might want to sell my explorer... still thinking lols....

hey... i wanted to buy the givi trekker too.. but have u seen the material of the box? Its plastic.. and it tends to warp, causing gaps, thus minus the water seal. =( but the box looks nice and its BIGGG

Anyway perhaps overtime it might leak... cause its not waterproof afterall unlike Pelican hee...

 

on the top it's ok but if at the side it tend to leak....p

Yeap... its not an alu box.. totally plastic... construction and quality i seen is almost similar to my e41... which have the same tech of having two opening... only the design is totally different which accommodate more to adv bikes...
