sorry to say this.

 

i think lampard is not captain material also..

 

no doubt he is a good player...

 

but he cant seem to rally his troops when they are down...

 

captains may not be the best player around..but he must be able to calm things down when its getting hot...

 

and raise the temperature when its getting cool...

 

another player that is not good captain material is cristano ronaldo...

 

1 hell of a immature player...

 

he does the opposite of what captains are supposed to do...

same sentiments.... but to have a defender as captain..well...i though a midfielder would be a better choice instead...

my choice would be Steven Gerrard. if you see the way he leads his troops at Liverpool, you will know he is the life and soul of the team. he runs tirelessly up and down the field and inspire the whole team with his never say die attitude. John Terry is a good choice too but i will prefer SG over him as i feel SG has that little bit more in him than John Terry.

Gerrard is DYNAMIC man, he can whack in a goal out of nowhere.. powerful shooting and piercing penetration from midfield. he's the man for the captaincy.. cheers, still wish paul scholes is there...

Terry!

 

Terry is too dirty a player to be captain of england. Yes he puts in 110% in his games but pulling a player back, hackling a player from behind, pushing opponents infront while attempting a header from a corner, using his hands to stop a cross, etc etc.. I say dats dirty.. not as dirty a materrazzi of italy but still dirty.... u may argue that he plays his game hard and hes aggressive... I agree but he always adds some dirt to his game. For that, he wont get my vote.
