A trick they may play with you will be giving you a bike not what they have mention.(i believe they never write down on the receipt also). Do save a copy of this page for reference. Since that is no expire date for the bike.(provided they also never inform you about the bike arrival). MID Dec just walk in demand the bike since you have reserved the bike. As agreement of reserved item does`t mean have to buy. If the bike have sold off to other, that when you can shoot the boss back for bleaching of contract. Since there is a BLACK and White. By then if you want, you can involved Police as cheating case.

secondly, I would go and get my money back. rest assured, the fella wont bring you to court for $50. not worth his time. you have to create a big scene though to get it back. the boss see you easy to bully, just mention lawyer then you scared. thats why he makan your money.

 

youre a student, i guess that $50 is your parents money or your own hard earned money from part time job. dont give it away so easily.

 

any lawyer reading this will know that idiot will surely lose this case in court.

they say can refund.. BUT the crucial issue here is, the verbal agreement came before the written agreement and written agreement normally overwrites any verbal agreement..

its not so easy that they can sue you just based on your saying they trying to blackmail you.. but they can just keep your $50 until dec and ask you to see bike..

yeap seriously bro, get everything in writing. verbal agreements do sh*t. even PMs. a certain famous shop in Kaki Bukit Road 1 refused to uphold one of their employee's agreement with me even though it was clearly stated in the PM with him. caused me lots of hassle and trouble. so lesson learnt is to have everything stated in the invoice or receipt. most bike shops are like that sad to say. butter and sweet talk you before you buy, and once you buy they tell you to f*ck off. sorry for your loss man. fifty bucks is indeed a lot of money.

I don't know . The moment i said "are you guys trying to blackmail me !?" he kept emphasizing it . He push the refund thing aside, and talk about sueing me . Cos i just used the word blackmail . Such powerful word ?

 

And yes, i was relunctant to put the deposit too . It's my hard earn money . .. till he said i can refund .. so i thought , no harm yea... i was WRONG!

 

I intially tot of reporting to CASE . But not worth it in the end . and if fight up to court, like one of the guys here said, could cost up to 30k already. ):

He said he recorded the sentence outside . I don't believe at first . He ask me come office , ask me what did i said . I repeated the blackmail question, he said he recorded down.

Yea , he verbally told me i can get my refund . and even offered me the receipt so i can get a refund by proving it . ZZ when i get the receipt he change story wtf!

Initially, they said i wait til ldec then can get back,afteer the argument , they said i will never get it back cos deposits are not refundable . WTH!

They really sweet talk me and convinced me man . Oscar of blackshops goes to them haiz , what i can do now is warn others bout this shop's black deeds ): how can they run buisness like dat .. wonders

It's not three letter shop but five letter shop. Aiya even the three letter shop also one kind. Nb buy one set tire must deposit more than the cost of the tire itself which amounts to $200+! CB who will be so stupid to kana conned. Pui!

if this incident really happened then they can never sue you for defamation by you posting the place of incident here.

 

anyway, if they can have such double standard over a verbal agreement over $50, this seems to show their shady dealings and i cannot imagine if u took up a 4 year loan with them. i can almost assure you that u would be paying a lot more in hidden costs starting from the time u sign that piece of paper.

 

take this as a lesson learnt and forget abt the $50.

 

btw. do post the shop name here if u can, for their goodwill is definately worth more than $50.
