that day asking the price of silverwing at that shop , then the sly looking saleman quote me 15k+++ for that bike, i almost fainted, some shop onli selling 12.8k, he realli wanan carrot me ah!!

In this world that we live in... it is always the smart and stronger earning the $$ of those weak and naive one. Want to con also must find stupid feeble individual to con right. Cannot be I go and con those minister or mafia right.

 

In the real world this is very common. An advice for all young new rider, becos u r young, u think that the world is perfectly regulated by polices. The world is nvr fair, a moment of carelessness will cost u. In this case it is a moment of blessing that u only paid $50 to learn a lesson. (what if he con u $500)

Invest in a decent digital recorder with microphone that you can pin to your collar. Tell the salesperson/shop you are recording the converstation, and if the salesperson/shop declines to be recorded, I'd say its not worth doing buisness with them. Makes sense, yes/no?

that is precisely why i stop trusting shops in purchase. there r so many fcukers ard.. i rather do all the **** myself.. unless so big time crap happens which i only trust Planet or k&t.

 

i stop believing in all the **** n bull story they been telling us. juz take it as a lesson learnt.. now we all know..

dude,

a few things to ponder:

1. $50 bought you a reservation, really. Or so the salesman said. In other words you were buying a pink elephant: nice bike, well maintained, cheap.. And you had not even seen it, let alone hearing it.. By putting your money upfront, you showed your commitment to the deal. Perhaps if you tried to approach the salesman from a different angle, he could have returned the money. Seeing you are being a young man, it appears they simply bullied you, in a way.. That is all.. You meet such shady second-hand cars/bikes salesmen virtually in every country.

 

2. As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, the choice of words is wrong. It is not a blackmail. Maybe a swindle, or a fraud if you wish. But technically, this is not a fraud until you come to the shop to see the promised bike and find it is not there.

 

3. This guy will not sue you or anybody else for that matter, unless he is either loaded with cash or just dumb. By how he handled your 50 bucks claim, the former is out of equation - money is tight these days. Any legal action translates into cash and time, and whoever starts the case must prove you wrong or lose the case and pay court expenses. Do you really think he had a recorder switched on, recording your conversation with him? Highly unlikely.. Hey, you can call all your friends to be your witnesses - it is up to that guy to prove they were not there... See what am trying to say?

 

4. Finally, did you get that bike from them in the end?

And, what is the shop name? - am just curious..

A few ways to pursue.

 

I'll give some examples.

 

1) Fully legal and time wasting way. Go to small Claim Court and CASE ..might not be successful and wastes TS time and effort for sure.

 

2) TS gather all his kakis the more the merrier and wait till shop and fxxker is about to close and chiong him...bring plenty of 'equipment' as show of force and demand $50 back or his face and hands and all those in his shop gets smashed...sure will get $50 back!

 

He won't even be able to make any police report that is worthwhile becos all you can say is you went to collect your $50 refund back and he 'kwai kwai' return it to you!

Don't submit to the "I sue you" threat. $50 sue you? Give you an example Pass incident. BTW My sister is lawyer clerk.

 

Bought a Computer from SIM LIM Sq. bring home Monitor turned blue. can see but whole screen blue. brought back to Sim Lim Sq claim warranty. Repair for more then 2 weeks, call and call tell me not ready. thinking I can do nothing about it.

 

My sister heard about it, wrote a letter with Lawyer Company letter seeking refund or full replacement. Shop (that don't do delivery) delivered a new monitor to my house setup nice nice for me.

 

These shops knows we all generally Kia See. Hear "I SUE YOU" only knee starts shaking. This is how we are trained from young. You think the shop got one legal consultant standing by? You think the boss what the F he talking about? He knows nuts.

 

If I were you, I will pick up my HP and report police on the spot. Likely he will return the money.
