Bros i got urgent question to ask.. just now came back from Jb pump petrol riding bout 150km/h suddenly got the engine like die in an instant it revives back... i thot it was nothing so i open throttle more then suddenly the overheat light turn on and the engine died then i pull over to the rd shoulder... when i start back my bike the sound was diff like petrol not enuf then got smoke coming out under the tank... also noticed when i rev the exhaust got backfire... after that i ride home my bike sound diff like very rough, no knocking sound... Any idea what hapen to my bike? really really need help here... thanks...

 

 

 

Actually my problem is almost similar to ayie125z. Only thing is that mine dun have smoke emitting underneath my tank and my exhaust dint backfire. Any kind souls know what's the problem with my bike? Thanks. :)

any suggestions where is a good place to go to?

looking to go to a friendly, good after sales service and non-chop carrot motortiam ^_^

does any1 know where to get a cheap speedometer set? a local or 2nd hand one.. can i get it from a scrapyard but where is the location?

Aug 2007-Oct 2008 -> Honda NSR SP 150

Oh sorry i dint noticed if my temp light got light up or not. I went to Hua Chin (Ah Koon) to changed afew hoses. I forgot the price but i think should be $100 or so. So far no more leaking since then.

 

i see. i just got back my bike today. change radiator filler neck and new coolant, total $80+ incl labour fee.

temp nv light on when i ride home and no leakage, but will monitor again..

initially, i requested to use maxima coolant but the boss rmb wrongly and give me engine ice instead.. haha no choice what is done is done. as long as is safe to ride..

Could be your switch assembly (open up and spray some WD40...or liek you said, wiring inside ur headlamp housing unit.:sian:

i noticed tat if i pressed the starter button will turn it on when this happen. as i went to ah Fook Shop, he told me it's the switch gone liao, inside got sensor? chg new 1 will cost ard $120:cry:

planet selling ard $95 for left switch assembling. mine is contact point lose so i bent it and clean can liao.. for ur case, did u measure both bulb connector and switch voltage? do connectivity check if any break in wire.. maybe wire loose or break or shorted?

Is there a Honda agent at Desker road?..tot they are at Boon Siew Bukit Timah road just slightly away from Rochore Canal. I think you are referring to Chion Aik at Desker road where they supply parts for Honda.:sian:

S$70 cash-&-carry from Mah Motorparts (19 Jalan Besar). S$5 more if you want them to install for you.

btw Pek,

the problem i having with my meter is, the speedometer needle stays @ 20km/h when stationary(even haven start the bike) & the meter will show 70km/h even though i'm going faster than tat.. And my mileage & fuel gauge meter not displaying..

 

most shop i go say must change whole set which they quote is about $650~$700 (OEM) :faint:

 

bike drop b4 n change only the black outer casing & the white internal casing @ that time as meter reading was ok..

after a few weeks replacing the casing, that the meter went hay-wire..:pity:

 

any views Mr. Ah Pek??:cool:

tried calling chiong aik, eversucess & FJT.. all say no stock..even ah chong from planet said the same... haiz...

My best bet will republic or global.. They have pretty reliable mechs over ter.. So u can trust their one mths warranty
