Hi bro im 1.65m and have no problems riding. just tip top lor hahaha. and if u need there's always lowering links.

anyway bros i need some help.

 

for my bike i realise that my pick up the torque has been decreasing significantly lately. not as torque-ky now leh. is there any reason for it?

 

and when i whack my bike at 6 gear. i will hear some abnormal metal-like sound coming out from the front, why so.

 

pretty worried, so if u guys can answer my queries do help me!!

not to scare you.. but you needa get your bike checked..

 

one of the DRZ riders had a similar problem..

he overhaul his bike to change the primary shaft..

you'll get use to it. when you're on a drz, that's the last worrying thing that comes to your mind.

also check your front brake pad , make sure its not finished...

got once i also got such sound.. check check and check then realised its my brakepad... *pengz*

I dun wanna waste time at bike shops doing my tuning and jetting aimlessly for hours and days for a FCR that comes from a ATV or one that does not have a proper "velocity stack" for the inlet..

 

price factor thou is higher than normal.. but should be worthwhile..

 

i cant wait to go back SG now to install it!!!

as mention the pocket money count. I think u better get a 2nd hand zz. could be much cheaper.I also get a 2nd hand OTR about 8k....

Hey i got so many parts to change i wonder which one should i change 1st. any feedback or advice u can reply me.

 

 

Got to change my tires. Im currently using 120/70 160/60 battlax. 160/60 rear tire has gone bald. I know i had a bad tires n size. How about Dunlop Alpha 10 120/70 150/60?

 

Got to change my brake disc. Its gone thin. Recommend me please?

 

Got to change my acct to mcct.

 

Chain n Sprocket. What's best and size of sprocket?What's the different between X ring n O ring? and AFAM Sprocket with others?

 

Air filter. BMC or K&N?

 

Got to change original Carburetor to FCR 39mm?

Tire first man... think anyone riding long enough will tell you that, its the only contact between you and the tarmac while u ride...

 

then change the following in the following order:

 

1. chain and sprocket - no best size and combination... you gotta tell us what your riding style is before we can recommend. lots of highway riding? or you prefer low end to top end speed? what kind of material? performance or durability?

 

2. brake disc

 

3. mcct

 

4. rest of the items..

if u wan, u can change to aftermarket brake disc such as BRAKING rear disc, but if budget concern, can change back a new stock disc.

 

Chain & sproc, any type will do, gd quality dun comes cheap, alot of brands for u to choose from: AFAM, Supersprox, ISA, JT, Vortex, DRIVEN etc

they are all roughly smiliar quality.

Stock sproc can be used too, but aftermarket sproc will be of cos lighter.

 

Air filter wise also individual preference, choose ur favourite brand.

K&N, BMC are both gd

 

Regarding carburetor, if u using the DRZ as transport, i advice u to change to an aftermarket exhaust n rejet ur carb n do ur 3X3 air box mod will do.

if u going track wif ur drz, pls change to a FCR39MX and feel the big difference. beware of the high Fuel Consumption of FCR39MX carb.
