Hey, not true.. I think DRZ has one of the best seats on a scrambler.. Tried and tested.. ERC and myself went for the Sin-KL-Genting-Sin trip and it wasn't that bad..

Also tried Chris' DRZSM and if you're the pillion, you may complain of the pillion's foot peg coz there seems to be some vibration when travelling top speed, and it's quite numbing..

Try WR4 and you know what's a really wedged ass..

:cheer:

ktm has one of the hardest seat and we still make it for the genting trip and came back with no much complain

 well the reply was given by my dad.. maybe because of his heavy frame... that's why his ass felt wedged... anyway to enhance comfort level on the DRZ could be done by purchasing a gel seat if this bike is soley used for touring purposes.some heavyweight dudes in TT using the bike for street riding did the following to enhance comfort level.

it'll be good to bring your pillion and yourself to go try on the bike to understand how it feels. at most plan more stops if going for long distance! :thumb:

how much did you paid for the brake lines and the braking brake pads? the nissin HH pads you had was already used up or you sold it away?

the brake line I got it at $80 and the braking brake pad was from my old S model. you sure that our stock brake pad is HH grade???......

I only change the front only.

I did a search on the internet on the number behind the pad(the HH with some numbers that u saw) and can't find anything...but base on nissin site the HH dun look like the stock one, I think the stock one is not HH, not even sinistered. I might be wrong.

any expert can clarify on this??

Hi guys... seeing these thread growing fast got me excited. Hope it'll be like local thumpertalk equivalent soon.

btw, anyone here tried the hotcams before...care to share experience. I really hope to improve the low end but not expense of my mid-high end. Tot the hotcams In might help... but do not know whats the effect on realibility.

:giddy: know of some guys who tired big bore before and the realiablilty went down the drain... seems like the R&Ds were all done in ang moh land and the kits didn't like our climate.

Also do not know if changing the cam profile would mean... needing to change valve springs? timing of valve?... any inputs anyone?

btw... RC got CRF rear cylinder lobang tell me leh... wanna get one, but cant find leh.

Boinz....Boinz!!!

Ash > The HC intake will boost your low and mid for sure. They will really allow the dragging of RPMs. An example would be a 100m (estimate) straight. A DRZ E with stock cams required 3 gears to get to the same speed as a HC intake DRZ... which only used 2 gears.

Changing the intake cam will not require valve springs replacement. You are still using the stock CDI which will not allow you to rev to the 11k range. No harm done. I did change the timing chain when I dropped in the intake cam... but only as preventive maintenance.

My personal opinion... HCs are the ticket! I'm still holding on to my HC exhaust cam. Will drop it in once I get my hands on some shims.

when installing the HC, do we need to change the CDI for cases of DRZ S and SM since the rpm will be at 10,000 rpm at the same time? then after changing to HC, is there a need to put in WISECO pistons also.. what will the effects be like? can fly? :D
