yea dude. The k7 came out like 3 to 4 months ago.

well the LV slip-on which comes with most bikes now are just slightly better den stock. Not really much of a diff. theres alot to do before ur DRZ is able to fly.

A full system is advisable though "tonging" ur pipe is able to make it louder but louder doesnt mean better. lols

Got another track day at the end of the month... I will go take a better pic and find out exactly how many cc is this bike. Anyway, these were the other 2 motards on the track on that day too.

You don't lose compression... you lose back pressure from the exhaust.

By freeing the flow of the exhaust by cutting out some parts (totally not recommended if situation cannot be reversed) or putting on aftermarket pipes (better option) the engine will rev very easier and pick up is faster. This is the plus point other than the sound.

The sad part is... the bike will be running too lean at high rpms as the standard carb main jet and needle setup cannot supply enough fuel for the now freer flowing engine. This means the bike will misfire and lose power at high rpms (especially when you are trying to overtake) and will backfire like hell during deceleration.

If you do anything to the exhuast that changes the flow rate... you might want to consider putting in an aftermarket jetting kit to match the increased air flow through the engine.

How I know all this? Coz I kena lah. Now waiting for the Dynojet Stage One jetting kit to arrive today or tomorrow then I will be tearing my carb to pieces again.
