Date: Saturday 26 Sep 2009

Time: 8 AM to 10 AM.

Cost: $30 for track fees payable at the track itself.

 

Limited to 10 riders only... that's all I can handle.

 

Safety Gear: Leather suits is optional. Minimum you must have is a full face helmet, gloves, boots or riding shoes that cover your ankles, jeans with knee guards preferred and jackets with armour preferred...its your skin anyway.

 

Coaching is free.

 

What will be taught:

1. Suspension and tyres set up for track riding.

2. Correct posture for corners.

3. Braking, dowshifting and acceleration points.

4. How to read corners and the correct gearing and linings through them.

5. Track rules and discipline.

 

We will walk the track to understand and appreciate the linings through the corners. On track guidance will be given as you ride if you need it. The aim of this session is to make you a safer track rider and how to take corners in the correct way. You will learn the techniques of track riding and how to ride fast... but how fast you go is up to your own ability to learn fast.

 

This is not a race session nor a session to teach you how to race. Its for you to learn about your own riding ability and the handling of your machine.

 

But most of all.. its for have an enjoyable time trying out track riding without all the high speed demons scaring you.

Haha... There are a few shops around Singapore that sells accessories. I'm sure Sub Zero will gladly show you around.

 

There's Dainese at JR; Komine, RS Taichi, Spidi, Hodaka at MotoWorld; Alpinestars at Regina, Arai at Chiap Lee, Sidi at Chong Aik; plenty more brands- Icon, Shift, Teknic etc can't name them all offhand, but enough to break the bank.

Bah.. still about a month from now, around late October. It would be great to meet up with singapore aprilians!! Thanks for the invite. I'll keep you posted once date is confirm. But must warn you I'm coming down with the misses haha.. thanks guys!

lol priller , was at auto point today , your mech went over and asked my mech if he has block for aprilia , he also asked if extrema blk can be used on the new model , FYI.

Agreed, can be done. The only different is 2 of the mounting holes are slightly offset. Just elong these 2 holes, can fix on the crank-case.

guys, don't mind me asking, what's the diff between mitaka, prox, wiseco and vertex pistons?

 

Different brands, Different make, Different materials, Different coating. Check their respective websites to have an idea what you want. Wiseco, from word of mouth (and I have no idea how true the claim is), is the best you can get already.

U wouldn't happen to ride an orange RS right..? Saw an RS on my way in yesterday around 6 plus. :)

My personal fashion sense is more on the bright colours but unfortunately the bike's dull in colour. that mech opens his shop @ around 3pm 1. lol

 

Ouh ok. Thought u were riding that Rs. And yeah he opens shop quite late. Closes late also. No comments about that or him. I'll be on my way soon. :cheer:

 

Once i get my bike, maybe can meet up with u also sometime soon. :thumb:

Orange RS, used to be ownd by wawan, as far as I know. He sold the bike off recently.. Orange 06-09 model, with kitkat decals.
