Anyone buying the new S3 disc rotors?

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271961

I'll be getting 2 pcs so my current rotors are up for sale.

1. Original 2007 RS125 disc rotor (barely over 200km) - $150

2. Galfer wavey disc rotor (has seen track days but in good condition) - $150

Reserve the 07 disc for me, thinking of getting a disc to play ard while saving up a few months for my new disc ...

Out of 10+ jets to interchange? Enlighten me of which the RS250 dun have?

engine brake? Is there really that much engine brake in a 2 stroke? U talk like u have ridden a GP bike before man.

Dellortho VHSB have Atomiser brush type, venturi size, venturi shape, needle type, needle size ,Slide sizes, slide material, slide design, atomiser type, float type, float weight, idle jets type to mix and match to alter each different zone and characteristic..

but usually ppl only play ard with main jet, idle emulsion, atomiser

I dun think RS250 mikuni hae so many variables

I didnt ride before a GP bike but i happen to chance upon 94-95 Sakata's GP125 VHSB39 setting on the net and i reverse engineer his setting, trial and error on my RS125 downsizing the jets considerably

If u look at it properly. u will find that mikuni have the same type of adjsutability only in another form. And i would say the mikuni have even a better range of tuning. From this i can see it separates the circuit into 3 parts for this carb. While the 250 actually separates it into 4 parts which makes tuning more precised. For the VHSB is only mainly idle, mid and high. For the RS250 carb is idling, mid, high and WOT, which can maintain your wot rpm without sacrifising your idle to higher rpms.

RS250 powerjet for WTO is very useful but sg parts support for mikuni suks esp if u are after rarer parts

By the way, do u still offer towing service? need to tow my 125 for her revial, valentine day coming , she will need her presents to make her happy :p

Maybe u have missed out me asking when did 2 strokes even have slipper clutches? They dun even need it. If u really wanna know why gp bikes might have lesser engine brakes. FYI take a look at the bearings section although having a higher idling speed will have almost the same effect.

wat electronic powerjet? So Far i only know TZ250 and GP bikes are using those. The 250 ones are just jets. But i agree the support for mikuni in sg sucks. i got most of my jets overseas. And they are not cheap. Recently i just feel like sharing a bit of knowlegde. Anyway constructive arguements will always benefit.

Yes i still do towing. U can just contact me to make arrangements. but recently might not be available since i am busy at work.

Is the one selling on the forums the same as on http://www.pjme.co.uk/acatalog/Brake_Parts_.html?

Lessons:

1) Dont panic. Panic make you cannot use brain

2) Dont dream on the road :faint: ...

3) Look at where you're going and your own bike ... dont peep at others one :dot:

I think so... however pjme did'nt state gaifer but his is gaifer however if you are interested to get, you should just get it rather than order from PJ... you save abit of $ since its used and save shipping from PJ which is quite expensive if you order alone.....

IMO, I think its not bad since you never try before the wavey brake disc and you may not know if you like it or not...

P.S I think things from lawrence are'nt that bad =D AHEM AHEM the brembo lever LOL :cheeky:

Count me out, I'm no titan. I'm just a little unorthodox tinkerer who's been fiddling with my bike using both tested and unorthodox methods I've learnt from books and internet hearsay, kinda like those crazy alchemists who attempt to combine sorcery and technology. I'm just trying to get the best out of my bike based on my own riding style, a little bit of track racing, a whole lot of street riding, and when no ones watching, a dash of thrillseeking.

Edwin knows a lot more than me, and for those of you who don't know, many of my meetings with Edwin are usually me soaking up knowledge from him, hardly the other way round.

Spidey's been porting his own cylinders since he started racing so I can't compare to him either.

So those of you seeking to tune your bike to race spec, Edwin or Spidey is the guys to ask. :)

Back pains? From an accident?

Holy guacamole!

Where the hell did you dig that old snapshot from?

Let's see, from left:

Izwan, Michel, [unknown], myself, [unknown], you, Serene, Micheal and Alan.

Hope you can fill in the blanks. Do you have a higher resolution image of the same shot?

Yes Mr Lawrence. I slammed my back on the parapet wall on the flyover from tamp towards p.i.e corner while foolishly attempting to scrape my knee after watching a MotoGP race back in 2001. Since then my back always gimme probs. :(

I still need to get another cylinder i guess. Otherwise the prob will just keep coming back. So that's the main concern now. Haiz.. :faint:

anyone got a used front disc tat i can borrow for 1-2months for measurement purposes

chung: consider putting a stock block and brand new piston. Power output is similar if jetted properly.

stock 125 will be done. pls do jetting for me den! o btw, do i need to take out the throttle slide 50? i have a feeling that throttle slide cause the bloody jam. i was on 175 main jet. spark plug was light brown and gold.

chill my malaysian bro.sorry if i offend you.ive seized/jammed for no particular reason more than you.but i still wont give up on her.

no worries. malaysian rocks. and MALAYSIA BOLEH. else why singaporeans keep going in for what. still use our tracks. nb. dun have track ah. faster build finish la changi track. *sorry im nationalist (is there such a word?). hahahahah.

Heh heh... Maybe can share with us over coffee? hehh....

heh heh... The question is not of whether I should or not, but more of where.

I feel that PG is safest but pple might say its unfair as they are unfamiliar.

I don't feel safe on the public roads - too many unpredictable variables.

Plus my bike is old with many upgrades waiting in the bay. For starters my front and rear shocks are gone, so I'm riding a pogo stick. My tires are rubbish M3s so I usually run very wide in corners - the rear end loses traction in the middle of the turn and the front end goes during the exit. I usually fishtail out of Turns 3, 5, and 10. This never happened on my GPR70s. I miss the old Dunlops!

Finally I have a innate fear that one of those 154cc things might seize and lose control, totalling both bikes in the process. I spent a lot on my bike, not for it to get smashed by an unreliable 154

bro. enough of the 154 thing. once i go pg for a few sessions, lets have a go.

125 vs 125.

ur experience, vs my talent. thats it. we place a bet on the line. ( loser wash the bike ) HAHAHAHA.
