Hi friend from Indonesia,

Firstly, i'm not sure if you know, Singapore is a place where everything is expensive, and it includes bike parts. Even we ourselves get most of our parts overseas because the local shops love to overcharge on parts. Now, before any local merchants who lurk in this thread try to rip you off, let me give you a valuable piece of advice. Order ONLINE, and get the parts delivered to your doorstep.

http://www.pjme.co.uk. They have alot of excellent stuff for our bikes. Please enjoy browsing through and spending your money. If you need something not available there, GOOGLE it and find it online and order. Trying to get it in Singapore will just make a much bigger hole in your wallet. :)

I already try PJME and send them email about delivery requirement, send them twice and no reply, that's why I'm wondering whether or not they are reliable. But if people here are recommending them, might as well give it a try. Thanks for the advice.

I realise that black 2t is leaking from the gasket that connects to the end can. Is this normal? If not how to remedy this?

change the exhaust gasket, you may be running a lot of 2t therefore the leak being obvious as well.

But should disaster be my fate,

top speed is affected by many other things besides carb size... pipe, bore, sprocket setting, tuning juz to name afew

the one and only...

Feelicks,

I'm using arrow pipe, boyesen reeds and de-restricted cdi. Tuning has set correctly by the mechanic. He changed the nozzle jet and work down to 148 main. Sprocket wise, when i have 28mm i can also change it what ?

But i'm thinking it could be the piston and blog. As i haven't done servicing to it since i bought the bike?? Do you think it is because of that ? it's 40000+km now.

Feelicks,

Ya...Really don't need to wash the bore ? Below my exhaust from the bore, there's these black oils leaking out...but i did went to the shop to change the gasket. still the same. Valve cleaning, going to do it today. 155 @ 11-12 rpm.

err, i would say tts abt average top speed we're getting... unless u change ur sprocket setting n get ur tuning down really nicely tts abt all our bikes can churn out... r u on full throttle in tt range or juz 1/2 to 3/4 open throttle?

the one and only...

Feelicks,

Full throttle. Means the 28mm and 34mm makes no diff with the speed ?? then 34mm gives what **** ? gosshh..

chances are pjme wont ship to Indonesia. Reason being that it is a horribly difficult country to ship to due to the corrupt customs. Or even if they do ship there, be prepared for ur shipment to either be "lost" or having to pay an outrageous tax.

thanks for the concern, but I already addressed these issue by having my parts send out to a friend in another country and from there I'll hand carried them to Indonesia. whether or not they want to deliver the items to another country other than the issuing cc country, that's still a mistery I'm waiting to get answer..

Hi,

What does the 34mm carb do actually ? If talking about top speed, i didn't see any of that.

I changed to a 34mm a few weeks back. The big change was top-end power - the needle just flies after 8k rpm. The other big change I felt was a substantial reduction in low-end power.

I was complaining about bogging to a few friends, and I realized yesterday that it was because I hadn't changed my throttle control after I changed to the 34mm carb. I was basically releasing the clutch a lot faster when I had the 28mm and the bike would take off no problem. Now with the reduction in low-end power, releasing the clutch like I did before just bogged the bike down. I tried slipping the clutch for a lot longer yesterday and now the take offs are a lot less boggy. TBH for the street, losing low-end power is fairly irritating - I found myself getting annoyed every time I came to a stop. For the track, the 34mm makes more sense because I won't need low-end power there at all. I'm looking forward to a PG test soon enough.

Eh, dont mind me being rude, why the hell you want to get 2ndhand tyres? On top of that for track use? Do you even value your bike? Tyres are the most important things that keeps you from kissing the tarmac. And here you are wanting to be cheap.

Why dont you invest in a new set of tyres for your bike if you're intending to go track? My recommendation, if you cant afford it, sell your bike and dont waste your time.

If you paid, you'd also be like us. You get your things done for FREE that's why it takes long, and you're at the back of the queue. Right? :) So dont complain!

Hi friend, I suggest you call PJME direct instead of waiting for a reply to your email. Look for Angela, she's in charge of international shipping. I've always had prompt replies from PJME, provided Angela's in town. :)

Just received a new bottle of Bel-Ray Si-7 fully synthetic 2T for testing.

http://thumb18.webshots.net/t/82/482/3/17/65/2396317650038148698gVPIXD_th.jpg

According to the manufacturer's specs, it is fully synthetic and is suitable for both premix and injection systems.

First impression, the oil viscosity is very low. It flows easily and when poured into the petrol, it almost immediately dissolved into the entire bottle of petrol on its own, without agitation. This is unlike most other 2T I've tested, which sank to the bottom of the petrol bottle and stayed there until shaken.

Of course, printed on the back, the manufacturer recommends 1:50 2T to petrol ratio. Which means 1 litre of 2T to 1 litre of petrol.

In this case, 500ml of petrol should require 10ml of 2T. But just for the sake of the experiment, to make it a little easier to spot any separation based on color, I added 30ml of 2T to 500ml of petrol.

Fresh petrol

Premixed petrol

http://thumb18.webshots.net/t/52/752/4/47/73/2955447730038148698JGVYJP_th.jpg

This will sit undisturbed for a week.

More after the jump.

Hi guys,

After sitting undisturbed for a week in the dark, there is no separation of the Bel-Ray Si-7 2T and petrol.

Bel-Ray's Si-7 has passed the basic separation test and received my stamp of approval. :D

I will be adding Si-7 to my list of approved 2T for premixing...

Just FYI, Bel-Ray Si-7 is available at Raptor MotorSports. Address is:

Kallang Avenue Industrial Centre,

Blk 2 #01-146, Bel-Ray (a huge signboard you can't miss)

Singapore 339464

It's competitively priced at $20 per bottle. Raptor has agreed to give a discount for Aprilia riders, so do tell him Lawrence sent you. hahaha...
