like david said, all rooms along that stretch are small... this one is about 35 sq.m.

it looks clean and cozy for a good night's sleep, just hope the renovation done last year was for all rooms, or at least the room we'll be getting :p

the last time we stayed there was before the reno, no complaints and rested well... maybe too tired after the long sungai bernam - tapah route

suggest you check the voltmeter first... i had a false alarm previously thinking that coil spoil liow cos voltage always below 12V (even during riding), but turn out that it's the voltmeter that's not ok.

it is more accurate to measure the bike's battery/charging system using a reasonably good multimeter at:

(1) directly at battery's terminals... engine stopped to see amount of "juice" stored in battery; engine running to see whether magnetic coil is delivering enough current to charge the battery (healthy coil should deliver about 14V when rev to around 3+k rpm).

(2) directly at coil's connection terminals below right side pillion foot rest, engine running else no output.

ty, bike died halfway yest, on also dun hav dashboard lights.. its magneto coil chao ta..

Guys, am thinking of adding another bulb to the headlamp which have high beam only. So when turn on, both light will on and still high beam when required. Think it can be done?

H4 base is bigger than H7. Also, H4 should only have either low or high beam on. For both on, it should only be for short flashing only.

Wah sound chim to me. I was thinking just drilling a bigger hole to slot in another bulb will do, haha

H7 bulbs have only 2 modes... on or off, and there's no option of changing angle of light beam, just on or off.

SW uses (needs) 2x H7 bulbs, 1 for low beam and another for high beam.

the low and high beam angle is controlled by the reflector in the headlight unit.

http://www.adventuremotorcycleparts.com/merchant2/graphics/00000001/PU70456-ATT.jpg

H4 bulbs are different from H4 bulbs in that they are able to "turn" the beam angle using a reflector inside the bulb (see pic). i.e. bikes with only 1 headlight will still be able to achieve low and high bean by using 1x H4 bulb.

easy/best way to differentiate between H4 and H7 bulbs is to look at the no. of legs, other than the reflector inside; H4 bulbs have 3 legs as compared to H7 bulbs which have only 2 legs. the 3rd leg of H4 bulb is for controlling current to the high bean reflector.

using H4 in SW?

this idea has been toyed around some time back and someone wanted to have both lights use as either low or high, using 2x H4 bulbs. conclusion was that the project is too tedious. tasks required are:

* to rerun the wires to power up 2x H4 sockets (3 pin sockets)

* to change 2x bulb sockets to support H4 bulbs

* SW currently has 1 reflector directing the light beam "downwards" (for low beam) and the other directing light beam upwards (for high beam). thus need to cut and reconstruct the high beam's reflector such that the reflector also direct its light beam in same angles (vertical and lateral) as low beam. this is a rather difficult task.

have fun

managed to find a reseller for the Skyrich lithium batteries... Wing Yap Motor Pte Ltd

http://www.wingyap.com.sg/

call 96907908 Jackson Oh for more info, check battery model and stock availability before going down.

Jackson says can discount if we do MO... anyone interested?

i'm getting the JHTZ14S these few weeks

quotes i got via email, with 1 year warranty:

1) HJTZ10S - $188

2) HJTZ12 - $188

3) HJTZ14S - $198

HJTZ10S

http://www.skyrichpower.com/?g=en&m=product&a=detail&id=68

HJTZ12S

http://www.skyrichpower.com/?g=en&m=product&a=detail&id=193

HJTZ14S

http://www.skyrichpower.com/?g=en&m=product&a=detail&id=69

differences between the 3:

* all have same size (150x87x93) and should fit the SW's stock battery compartment nicely, with a smallish gap between the cover and top of battery (can use to stow excess wiring)

* 10S has CCA of 240 and 12S/14S has CCA of 290

* 10S is 0.9kg, 200g lighter than 12S/14S (1.1kg)

* 10S has capacity of 8.6 while 12S/14S has 11.2

Skyrich Scooter Batteries

HJTZ10S-FP

L150mm x W87mm x H93mm (stock is H110mm)

can fit the "hole" nicely with just a little spare "headspace" for wires

12V, 0.9kg, CCA 2

probably cheaper if buy direct from china supplier... just need to find out how :p

So, what's the difference between this and the MO for Lithium Batt in the SBF?

difference arh... hmmm...

i feel more "secure" using a skyrich lor...

* Sky is packed in proper box, MO is shrink wrapped; more sturdy

* Sky's dimensions are more fitting than MO; can fit SW's "hole" better

* Sky is produced by China manufacturer (Skyrich) that also produces other types of batteries, MO dunno from where (DIY using cells bought from China?)

* Sky is a "formalised" product that's also sold in other countries, MO is... errr... DIY projects?

* Sky uses regular material lithium ion polymer, MO uses lithium nanophosphate; has anyone verified the claim?

(registered manufacturers can't anyhow claim cos will kenna sue, especially when selling products in US)

* Sky has 12 months warranty, MO 6 months; of course we hope no need to utilise

* Sky is sold locally by a registered business entity (Wing Yap), MO is by a forumer; monk can easily disappear but not so for a temple when things go wrong

Well done for the technical explanation boss.

Tentatively if wanna mod... wat u need is $$....

but technically for top & bottom type Free Form reflector headlamp.

It is specifically design to operate 1 for high 1 for low.

Example drawn can be seen on Honda's blackbird vs VFR or Older Foresight vs Forsa

Only Single or dual side by side is designed to use dual filament bulb (h4 55/60watt)

in order to increase ur visibility, can get a pair of Premium aftermarket bulbs

or wack pair of micro star on front (couple of tmax/Xciting did that already)

Both are from yours truely ^_^

Went to fabricate rack to mount 2 side box (givi e21)

Was told it is not possible due to the key hole location, it will be blocked by the rack.

Anyone relocated the seat key hole before? any suggestion?

Honda ..................and nothing else

Posted (edited)

Also went to a.m.k. fabricate a metal plate on the side stand as it is slanting too much.

Wanted a one inch thick plate cos I tot thats the angle

I want the scoot to stand.

Was given a near 1 cm plate instead but an elongated one.

Given the chance to try and push over the scoot (just to try) before it fell over,

quite unlikely ...no need to park full stand liao.

no need to relocate the key hole, can consider adding an electrical "press-release" device can liow.

someone in this forum has done it before (can't remember who), can try check with ah choong whether he can/has time to do it for you :)
