2nd Review of Hyperpro Fork Spring (with Mutol Factory Line fork oil) on SW-T.

*1st review was on my FJS about 5 years ago. Not comfortable for my liking, possibly due to the poor stock damping rod configuration (only 2 compression holes in the damping rod). Sold the Hyperpro in 1-week.

** SW-T now comes standard with 4 compression holes in the damping rod. Some improvement from FJS.

 

Very good on SG road.

The front is firm (less sag) and calm. Less feel of the road surface and not jumpy.

Slow speed between cars very stable, without the need to manage balancing with the handle.

However, bigger bumps will result in a harder rebound than stock. Just beware so not to eject off the bike if going too fast over a hump.

Verdict after 2 days = worth the investment. hehe. I bought it cheap from a handsome man...

 

I'll know more when going North on more lousy roads.

Original front shocks are ok.

Possibly either tire pressure or rear suspension pre-load setting.

Anyway, SW got such small wheels will feel more of the bumps than other bikes.

Dear Bros,

need help here, I am encountering 'pigeon' sound when moving off slow. what can be the cause of this? And any recommendation for what tires for replacement? And anywhere to 'skin' repair my Tupperware?...just skidded due to irresponsible cement truck drivers....

The sound is a norm for silverwing and cvt scooters. Is the sound from the clutch pads upon contacting the clutch bell. You can first try a couple of hard throttle move off instead of slow move off. Alternative is to hold ur left brake lever and throttle your engine to about 3-4krpm, hold it there about 15-20secs. It should help eliminate the sound.

A set of new tires will cost abt $180-200 at ac motor.

Cosmetic repair will be either respraying or using sticker to cover up.

After doing up the cosmetic, will recommend you to stick aka car door sliders on ur fairing which can help to prevent scratches or light damage during slow speed or stationary falls.
