I just found out rare reason how a Honda NC700 in an open carpark can topple. A group of 4 kids (avg 6yrs old) at 1030pm just now in Clementi area have shook the bike down while on it's side-stand. Poor owner... the kids were too curious! At least the kids were not injured.....

A lesson learnt maybe to park on centre stand. Happy holidays!

Dannok Expedition Review

 

About 10.5 to 12 hrs from 2nd link, at 130-140km/h ride with lots of rests.

Walked out from the Thai Checkpoint and you're already in Dannok.

 

Town. Small Town with some new Hotels being build. KDK Hotel is the latest.

Lots of disco with many young ladies to keep you company.

Lots of Massage Parlors. You can choose your masseurs through fish tank style. 300thb for 2hrs of Thai massage or 1 hr foot massage. 600thb for 2 hrs of oil massage. Thai, Burmese, Chinese also have.

Lots of Karaoke. Opens from late afternoon till about midnight. By that time, either the girls already got booked for the night or they go home.

Lots of Pimps. They are everywhere. They offer girls from from RM250-350. *Dannok is basically a chicken farm.... ratio of 10 girls to 1 horny guy (my guess through observation).

 

Positively:

Satit Grand View Hotel. Reasonable hotel with basement parking. Some fittings like showers and toilet flushing system needs upgrading. However, rooms are above average with comfortable beds for sports. Massage available with rooms on-site or can go to your room. Got some very 'nice' masseurs.

Also got its own Satit Karaoke outlet with PRC SYT. Beer at RM16 per big bottle.

 

Skyline Pub (near the hotel). Clean environment (just like Post Laser Disc Pub and Restaurant in Hatyai) with an awesome band. Plays rock and other pub favorites, including Cantonese.

 

Overall, Dannok is a good 1-N stop for any trip going up further North of Thailand.

Thinking of Bidding for very nice Bike Number? *I mean those single digits, etc.

LTA normally only informed the reputable bike shops... unless you visit Onemotoring.com EVERYDAY to track for announcement.

Usually riders are left with lousy numbers to bid if we missed this long-long-once opportunity.

Well, they've called and informed me of the coming bidding exercise. Hehehe.... special request.

Hi all,

 

A question about Boon Siew warranty for new SW-T. Is it necessary for the servicing to be done at Boon Siew only for warranty to be honoured, or can the servicing be done at other workshops?

 

Appreciate any feedbacks from the Silverwing community with regards to the above matter. Thank you in advance.

Only approved motor shops.

I know M1 Motor is allowed. Not sure about others.

I drop something into my sliverwing front panel the ventilator hole. Couldn't retrieve it through the gap and it drop down to bike below cannot find liao. Will this affect anything? Must I dismantle my fairings to retrieve it? Useless stuff not valuable though. ..

Wow ! Thats about 30 to 40 percent of an average new bike under 400cc. Has the system gone mad ? What about the average joe who has to work at odd hours and difficult to reach working areas - the renewal of COE would probably be more than the value of his bike - this also negates the annual inspection of a bike more than 3 years old. Seems like the system favours exotic bikes at exotic prices. Considering that current EVO requirements are more stringent this seems to penalise the category of vehicle that takes up the less space and is more fuel efficient.

You can try to remove the radiator cover (easier) to try to retrieve if it bothers you else should be ok to leave it. Probably in the bottom left or right if not stuck halfway.
