A nasty comment made by a shop @ alexandra V

A very well known motorshop with it's very own web page and enquiry mailbox replied the following upon my enquiry:

 

shaft,I mean for BIG BIKE!!!Then wht u goin to tell me wht is the sound

come from where?The Piston?the camp gear?the timing chain?U really out

of question!!!!The first time u mention tht the sound is no frm engine

part!Dun deny pls......I think u r new in your line...This is the big

bike c.c...only small big easy get camp gear spoil..like PHANTOM200...>>

Since when did the shop mentioned started selling camping equipment?

I mean what the hell is 'camp gear'?

What I would do is to just laugh it off..For a company thats supposedly "big" their English really is very atrocious..I couldn't understand half of what was written/replied to you..Try querying other motodiams about your problem..

say things like, "if u r a man, then come out and talk. don say things bout my shop when u don know anything bout bikes. u try asking the agents for suzuki, honda, yamaha and kawa and they'll also tell u the same thing"

they claim they have the freshest tyres at the best price in the market. but recently i found that the motorshop @ batok midview has tyres going even cheaper!

and that uncle shop actually has very gd service despite the non competitive prices in common parts. but that's only a few $ difference. a gd price to pay for some insurance that ur bike is in gd hands...

so that'll be the shop i'd be going to in the future.

they actually replied 1 of my e mails with at least 3 of theirs with 1 sentence replies. flooding my e mail with their replies that doesn't serve it's purpose solving any problem.

in fact, it only created a bigger problem. that is to make me very angry!

so wat else can i do? i explain, they don understand my kind gestures; i apologise for using terms they didn't understand; i even stated the fact that i am also a mechanic in the automotive industry.

should't they at least respect other people's opinions instead of jumping straight into my face and say " U STUPID!"

Dont expect free service from the shop, asking question like "what is the problem..", "why like this".... sure irritate them, I can imagine how many this kind of emails flooding their mailbox.... how many emails you had sent to them ?

 

dont be lasy and want your own convinience, sitting in front of PC and asking questions, the best way is still ride your bike there, so the mechanic can troubleshoot....

 

there are some many bike shops in Singapore, just try a few, you know who provide you good service, then stick to them lor.....

 

Want cheap, want good service? Wish you good luck....

if i were u.. i write to them and say that the email has been published in the net and u will be reporting to CASE.. scare them a bit.. if they dare u.. den wat u waiting for.. go and report.. this type of shop musy make way for shops wit gd mechanics.. they dun deserve a share of our money

i just received another 5 emails from that shopm again. please take a look:

 

'GOD'....Tell me you r my loyal support...dont ever check the bike,start the

bike....then jump to the conculsion.......wht is this?????

and for everyone's info, i asked how can they know that a cam shaft of a 20 mth K5 has problem just by listening....

 

***for those who don't know wat a cam shaft is, it is a very strong alloy shaft designed with cam lobes positioned at different angles on it. it's purpose is to push open the inlet and exhaust valves of the engine at accurate intervals. the camshaft turns at half the crankshaft speed. which means half of engine actual rpm.

I bought my bike from this bikeshop. Now when it comes to mechanical faults, I prefer to send my bike elsewhere. As for normal servicing like EO, plugs, filters, I still patronise the shop opposite the one you are complaining about...
