I just bought a 08 TMax and need some advice from the experts here.

 

Cn any kind soul advise where can I order or buy the GIVI back rest for the passenger....in Spore?

 

Just went down to Chap Lee and was told that they do not carry that back rest and can't even order through them. The back rest should look like the one in the attachment.

 

I understand that Yamaha has the original TMax back rest too....but I feel that the one from GIVI is nicer and more ergonomic.

 

Pls advise.

i am hoping he get poisoned by the GT so that he will sell his tmax soon and i get to keep what he currently is putting onto his tmax..esp the full system..

Confirm with FJRider, Mah Motors is the local distributor for GIVI.

 

Also i think that one owner here has the GIVI backrest fitted onto his bike, YOGI is his nick if i do remember, but i do not have his contact.

 

Otherwise i have the Yamaha backrest on my Tmax but you need to buy the rear rack in order to fit the original Yamaha backrest.

Was out riding on Christmas day when the "OIL" indicator icon started flashing. Siao liao ... bo engine oil. Rode to the nearest SPC to purchase 1 ltr of EO. Topped up and start engine .... still "OIL" flashes. Cut short my ride and head home. Checked the owner's manual and realised that "OIL" flashing is to tell idiots like me that EO is due for change and NOT bo engine oil. Kanasai, now got almost 4 ltr of EO in my Max.

 

MORALE OF THIS STORY .... Always read owner's manual diligently.
