Huh got cheaper uh? I bought the pair for like same price or slightly more as the price list in HLC and Unique.

Haven't tried riding in the rain yet, don't enjoy putting on my rain gear...

previously Unique was having promotion. 1 pair $85 only

front back maybe 200+

not that expensive. so far Bridgestone Battlax BT039 still the most expensive, followed by Michelin Pilot Sporty and then Dunlop TT900

and cheaper than battlax? hahah i thought battlax front back only around 180 bucks

i just check with my mechanic today and he quoted me $180 for a pair cuz the supplier increased the pricing for quite some time already

my rear tire also going to wear off, front still ok. was thinking whether to just change the rear tire back to Dunlop or change both front and rear to Battlax

personally i feel dunlop tt900 is enough if you are not a very aggressive rider, ie to say, strong throttling, jam brake, etc. but it never hurts to have a better pair of tyre for added safety

speaking of which, doe anyone here knows why the bike so so hard to start after rain? i've been experiencing it for about 2 months now. i really dont know where is the root cause

engine oil too cold will "harden", like oil will harden if refrigerated. im assuming u changed the eo at abt 2kkm.

Careful bro. 4k is rather punishing to the bike. Not to mention 5k. I am hoping you didnt over high rpm the bike every time. 3k is already hardcore already.

Bike manual recommend EO change for every 3k.

EO I prefer AGIP Fully synthetic.

There is a EO review thread, trying searching for it.

eh.. it's not that the oil not good. fully synthetic is very good.

but high temperature = after a while, engine oil will decrease. so after abt 2kkm, not enough/ lesser eo ald.

that's y i dun see the need for $25/litre fully synthetic eo anymore - can last 2kkm only..

The purpose of the EO is to keep the engine clean and lubricated.

The need to change it at certain mileage is eventually the EO will become dirty and not able to do it's work.

The EO also has a high boiling point. It does not evaporate that easily.

If ur experiencing loss of EO. Most likely there's a leak from the engine.

The easiest way to identify that is to look at ur parking lot after parking overnight.

Look for fresh oil stains. Dun mistake others for urs...

If u see the fresh oil stains. It's likely ur engine is leaking.

The gaskets may be damaged and needs to be replaced.

Topping up w/o repairing will be a waste of EO.

Different EO are made with different additives for detergent purpose.

The different gradings are for the viscosity and the temperature that the EO can work with.

Different EO give u different feel or ur ride. Usually most noticeable with the clutch and gear.

For example, cheap Castrol EO gives the feel that the gear lever is hard to kick whereas it is smooth and easy for more expensive AGIP.

ohhhhhhhhhh..... so what if it is adjusted ? o.o

It adjust the rpm for engine idle. Most prefer to be low at about 1300rpm.

U start engine warm up won't waste too much petrol.

Not sure if anyone will want to adjust for higher.

Too low also not good. Cos bike difficult to start.
