as far as i know higher octane number does not make any different as long as meet the design requirement. educate me if that not true?

i won't mind at all spending the bit of extra money if it does make a different other then giving me a peace of mind.

V-Power = smoother overall response, to me of course.

Yeah. You do not need the high octane level. The manufacturer states that you can run lowest is 91. Whether you want to pump higher octane or not it depends on you. Your money your bike your decision. Same goes if you want to change your eo at 10000km or twice a year. We will not stop you. Its your money your bike your decision. Do me a favour though. If you ever decide to change your eo at 10000km could you tell me how much eo is drained out? Thanks in advance.

When you finally drained out the old eo to change to fresh new eo roughly estimate. No point. Its just for knowledge purposes. Thanks.

Sometimes ur mech put in too much and it's hard to kick into gear also.

..too much also no good ke bro??

You Use 92? So Low? Haha. The Lowest Most Of Us Here Use Is 95 I Believe. Only Some Use V Power All The Way.

i believe 95 the affordable 1 lah..:thumb:

thanks! will take note of that.

lately have been reading up on how to maintain the bike in good condition. other then safety gears and good riding habit, next should be maintaining the bike in good condition for a safer ride.

chatted with a friend a couple of days ago. he told me he have been using WD-40 to clean and lube his chain for the past 2 years. he keep saying how well it keep the chain in condition and have not changed it for 2years. faint... WD-40 is hardly a suitable lubrication for chain isn't it?

I'd rather use GT85 to clean it.

Bro, ur mate got some techniques which you should not be following... EO is impt for our 4 strokers machine... Depriving it off new oil is robbing it off the lubrication properties that it requires... I have seen live before my eyes a car that has been driving around for 3 years without changing EO... The aftermath was disastrous... The oiled has turned to sludge and has sticked to everything in the engine from the cams to the conrod... The mech was furious, and the engine died...

Next is wd-40... That is for removing rust and oil... I will totally disagree for you to use it on your chains... Chain lube are not that ex... Even if you are on a tight budget, balance EO or gear oil makes better lubricant for your chains... Hope you take this advice seriously... End of the day, it's still your machine... How you take care of it is entirely up to you...

Cheers Bro...

thanks! will take note of that.

WD-40 corrodes the o-rings in the chain, shortening it's life span. Maybe ur friend is just lucky. Recommended to clean chain and sprockets and anywhere else oily is to use diesel or kerosene. U can just wash it off with water. And even EO will fling off overtime, which will shorten your chain life. Use chain lube. Get those with teflon, so it sticks to ur chain and keep ur rims clean.

Wd40 to lube his chain? He is not really being honest is he? I think Singer oil have a much better chance at lubricating. Even KY Jelly fares better.

I Just Feel The Higher The Octane Number, The Smoother It Is. I Duno Whether Its True But Thats What I Feel Coz Last Time With My Previous Bike, I Realised On 95, I Can Only Drag Gear 3 Up To 80. But On 98 & V Power, I Can Drag Gear 3 Up To 90-95.

But There Are Some Bikers Who Feel As Long As His Bike Can Move, Can Already. So Yeah, To Each, His Own. :)
