I think my divvy need to have its carburattor serviced. My top cylinder head gasket was found wear & tear as black sludge was seen near the gasket area. I think that causes the excessive heat to dissipate to my legs.

Does any divvy bugger here ever service carb at HL agent before?

You need to change the gasket, not carb.

Did mine at HL a year back, Valve clearance + Carb service + tunning = $500++++

Hope it helps.

plugs used were iridium and that was about 6months old, pretty sure they are ok.

Air Filter and cab service were done about a year ago at bukit merah, maybe they are timed to change & service.

Thanx for the checklist :thumb:

BA,

Air filter got to check/change/service at least every 6 months.

iridium plugs are better to clean every 6 months or best each servicing. Clear the carbon at the tip will give u back power tat u once enjoy.

For ur leaking case, hope tat ur motorshop did not try to pour more than 3liters(w/o change of filter) of oil inside. Overfilling of oil will result in excessive pressure been built up result in leaking gasket.

Guys,

Had my fork oil, oil seal and dust cover change a day before festive.

Me currently using Motul fork oil 15 instead of 10. Just wanna try the difference.

Bike service at MW but however have to wait for almost 3hrs to get it done.

They never keep stock in their shop.

Total cost was $120.

Any idea how much if we wanna change our top head gasket on our divvy engine?

Why not i ask HL for the gasket change price and u ask AM of the cost price of the gasket. Anything sms me...hehehe!:thumb:

Roughly you can estimate that servicing at HL can be quite a bomb.

BA,

Called HL just now and was infd that the labour for the replacement of the top gasket will be ard $80 not inclusive of the parts. By the way we can ask motorshop how much will they give us for the labour Den we can decide which is the best should we take. Hehehee...!
