Most of the major failure occured in the D9 are the shaft and gear problems.

What can I say, it is a shafty unlike your responsive chain driven viffer

I believe all shaft driven bikes are not meant to "burst and go" as it will deteriorate mechanically during long years.

Six yrs of owning & I only replace her wear & tear parts..

My NV400 shaft last me 17yrs w/o proper maint :cheeky:

Guess u own a lemon divvy.

As for shaft driven bikes can't burst & go... maybe I forward ur post to Vmax owner hehe....

All of sudden Divvy become a gem... and my gem is sitting at my house waiting for me. :sian:

Believe it's not the machine but the price bugger willing to part with.

Some of our buggers are selling their divvy.

If u are interested in this babe, ask our HR manager bats. He should be able to give u a hand.

Dat was one of the main reasons dat made me come for the meetup... I love the bike, and I wanna get to know the 'Chosen Ones'... I had come with the intention of buying myself a Diversion sometime this year (subject to my fiancee's approval), and hopefully I may get to know some of the members who might consider selling me their bike (please, please!!)

Bats, I'd love to come for the carnival, but I can't promise anything yet, coz I'm on shift work and I haven't got my roster yet... Hopefully I'm working morning shift on that day, so I can still drop by...

Hi, guys, Divvy owners/riders,

Sorry to interupt your den.

But after reading these few recent postings and BoyBulance's posting #10772 and also I did search on Hong Leong Corp's website, am I right to say that Diversion 900 is no longer in production??

I only saw a Diversion 600 on Hong Leong corp's website.

If Divvy 900 is no longer in production, then quoting from BoyBulance's posting #10772 :

"As simply summarised by Bro Nasir..." Divvy 900 is truely is a gem. :thumb:

BTW, I had always been very curious. Even if we do own a Divvy 900, is it possible that we fix the tow side boxes and the rear small small box to make the bike look exactly like a TP bike??

If Divvy 900 is no longer in production, then is there any of this "gem" in bike shops for sales??

Actually when I was "downgrading" from my previous Yamaha "Fabulous-Joy-Ride", I was looking at Divvy 900 too, but can't seemed to find any 2nd-hand ones in the bike shops (maybe I didn't search hard enough lah!). In the end, I settled for my current Honda Viffer (I am not saying Honda Viffer is not good)... :)

I'm just wondering - y did u want to downgrade from the FJR? Honestly, I'm considering buying myself the FJR if all efforts to obtain a Divvy results in a dead end.... (Coz it's the next best ride if compared to the Divvy)

Why suddenly everybody like D9 at the same time, dats weird .....

Why do I feel like I have just shot myself in the foot?

Unwittingly, I may have rekindled the interest in the Divvy..... Instead of getting the owners to sell it, now they might decide to HANG on to it.... There goes my chance, BUMMER..... :sian:

Yes you are almost right. Most of the major failure occured in the D9 are the shaft and gear problems. The repairs don't come cheap however not all bike are like that as it all depends on the rider.

Hi, Mr BlackAngel,

I understand your point on the "not-as-responsive-as-a-chain-driven" shafty point of view... My previous Yamaha "F"abulous-"J"oy-"R"ide is a shafty too. Yes, it is definitely not as responsive as a V-4 chain-driven Viffer...

For my current ride, once open throttle, we can get out of a situation very fast... I do agree that my previous shafty ride is not as responsive (perhaps also due to the fact that it is an Inline-4 compared to my current V-4)... :)

As stated, only willing to part her if the price is right.

Too much effort done on her to make her safe & bright enough for long hual riding...

Yes, other than changing tyres, my bike is only touch/repair/service by myself.

Hahaha!!!! Dat's a good idea, but no can do... Won't work... Coz by now, she'll know about it already, coz she's been following this thread ever since she met up wif the Divvy club the other day...

She's also my PA (PERMANENT Assistant), dat means she does the research for me...

PS: She's the one who found the 'lobang' for that $1.7k XJR of mine.. So, apparently, I'll need HER to do the negotiations for me... Maybe Uncle Custom may agree to sell the Divvy at $5k to me? :cheeky:

I am planning to buy a flat and get married sometime this year, dats y she told me to focus on the priorities 1st... Told me that she'll only approve of it AFTER we have acquired a flat and gotten married 1st - she has a point coz she said I already have a bike 'for transportation'.... Damn, can't argue with my PA...

Is it the one with the giant helmet at the entrance? Asked already, but they no longer carry GIVI products... Apparently they only carry COOCASE products now...
