Lately there is an unusual phenomenon when pressing the start button. The engine fail to start for the first few initial cranks and tachometer indicate 8000 rpm for 3 sec. (each crank is about 5sec). This phenomenon occurs in every start. Any idea what the hell is happening and why showing me 8000 rpm is it some kind of 4d number for this weekend???

Bro, use a digital gauge to check what is the actual rpm show. it may not be "8000", it could be "8881". It is wednesday tomorrow

Alternator lifespan 8 years? Hmmm..

How long have u not replace ur yuasa battery bro oxygen? Charging at max is around 13.4v and idling is around 12.4 to 12.6 volts. I hope it's not the ignitor unit assembly (part no : 4KM-82305-00) cos you will get a nasty surprise if you are stuck in the road after it died suddenly.

Monitor your battery status these past few days.

Cougar, I have just replaced the battery in July at HongLeong. Have yet to replace the alternator, however Press horn very loud, headlight also very strong. You suspect my alternator might be faulty???

Mctan, if you hengheng 4D 8881 come out this Wed must know who to thanks hor... btw this number looks familiar leh...hehehe

Blackangel, I don't think is the 3 months old battery. This case you think likely is my ignitor unit faulty??? I am still getting the 8000 rpm code everytime it fail to start...angry

A few of the buggers here had changed the CDI unit last time but forgot who they were. if not wrong according to Nassir, it costs around $400+ .

I wouldn't know if this is the symptom to your problem. However do update us on the code as it may prove useful to us

Hi everyone, this is my first post. Not much to say i guess. It's my 3rd year on a divy and i'm loving it. Only thing is, whenever i throttle up to do a quick overtake on the PLUS, the front end lifts a little and steering wobbles. I believe this is normal on a divy. Anyone ever tried fitting a steering damper to lessen the wobbles? Know where to get one?

Check your steering cone and bearings first.

Hi edfck, I think the link you give require an id.

skyyeo

> I'm not sure on what you mean by "the front end lifts a little", either you are trying to pull off a wheelie or the fork suspension doesn't meet its full compression. Your fork might sink a bit if the washers are worn out and it's time for a service.

Regarding the wobbling part, it may be due to many reasons like uneven wear & tear of front tire, improper balancing of tires, alignment of bike in any circumstances of previous accident, worn out cone bearing and even choosing a combination of wrong tire models or sizes.

Hope this helps. Btw, nice black D9 you got there :)

>Oxygen, so far got Explode or not? Hehhehe

* Can anyone give me the model no. for EBC front & rear brake pad?
