Yo Buggers,

A day of a divvy bugger-Today morning about 0648hrs I'm already late rushing to work, BKE 1st lane all the way doing between 100-110km/hrs ~ saw a dark Blue BM GT13 on 2nd lane doing 80-90 km/hr under KJE flyover overtake him.

I realized after over taking- this "small brain" he's not happy seeing my bike over take him, he from behind chase and overtake my bike swing from left to right showing off his bike capabilities "in fact I only noticed his small brain capability" on the road rather then his bike.... later he exited Bukit Panjang.

sh*t there are still this kind of small brains out there.

Small bikes do this kind of things I considered young and growing but a big bike doing this-I expected them to be very matured! especially the touring buggers.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

This is a community message to ALL Divvy riders....

Please be reminded that any rider can ride ANY 'TAXI' bike , but please remember that only the CHOSEN ONES ride the Divvy!!!!

Safety reminder: A Divvy rider does NOT need any effort to attract attention on the roads - the act that has been potrayed in the above case scenario is a typical desperate attempt by 'common riders' to attract the attention of other road users which may have been distracted by the rare sight of a Diversion in full flight on the 1st lane of the expressway.

This community message is brought to you by BOYBULANCE. :thumb:

Please note that there is also the 'Special Edition' version which comes in ready-to-fall-off stickers.... :p *rolling on the floor laughing*

Guys, juz wanna ask where can we get KNN air filter for our bike?thanks...

Yo bugger,

NO KNN- use the OEM product you are on the safe side, OEM filters have smaller hole so wants dirty you may blow clean for once after that next round replaced it. As for the KNN the hole is bigger(more air goes in as well as dirt) when compared to the "standard manufacturers air filter -we call it the OEM parts".

As for using KNN in singapore dusty environment and high humidity it is not advisable to use as more dirt, moist enters the carburetor then into combustion chamber. You may find for the 1st few months shiok to ride after that back to square one.

Based on my experience(with KNN) my advise stick to OEM parts you never go wrong.

Feel itchy to spent your money go and get yourself a waterproof glove it's about $65 at chongAik.

Yo buggers,i juz came across tis website saying tat our bikes eventually have aftermarket exhaust...e-mail enquiry to M-Technik and tis is wat they reply.....

Hi Rudy,

I’m still awaiting a reply from Laser to see if the Jama Original for your XJ900 Diversion is still available, because it is not listed in the 2010 catalogue anymore.

Anyway, if it’s still available, the price is $850 for this Jama Original muffler set (2 pc) in stainless steel (INOX). This set do not have LTA papers but due to it’s design, it looks like OEM exhaust so there’s no need for documentation for after-market exhaust. We have sold several sets of these Jama Original for old bike models like GS650, GSX750, GL1000, & they do not have any problems with annual inspection.

I will get back to you again when I got a reply from Laser.

Regards,

Chan

FRONT TYRE GETS BLOATED

This afternoon, I realised that my front tyre gets bloated on the left hand side. I'm not sure if the tyre was defected or already expired, I'm certainly making my way down to HKL to change to BT020. The experience seems freaking scary, I can't imagine how i play corners with that sort of tyre!

The tyre pressure is still ok, just that the rubber got bloated and soft. Dunno which cat screw my tyre and let it pregnant....:(

Buggers, I found my stock brakes were rather 'soft' ---> which leads to inefficient braking....

I understand that most Divvy riders switched to aftermarket steel-braided brake hoses....

Anyway, I bought the XJ900P brake hoses ---> cost me $121 a pair, which I then brought to Ah Tuck of Tachyon Motor at Tampines to install....

He changed the brake fluid and 'bleed' the hoses and since I didn't purchase a screw for twin brake hoses, he used a stainless steel screw ---> end result: my wife commented that the braking is smooth and highly effective as compared to the previous stock brake hoses.... In conclusion, I'm satisfied with the workmanship and the increased safety of my Diversion....

here's my question: he charged me $75 for the service... how much did it cost u buggers to get ur brake hoses 'bled' and installed?

Not sure if Bt021 works well on your divvy. but for st it performs so much better than Bt020.maybe can consider.

75 bucks to me a bit steep bro, can get 4 iridium plugs on that. However, it won't hurt u dat much apart from the result of the service right, bleeding is a tiresome and long process though. It's a good move on getting those brakes done up in the first place.

I had my front tyre changed to metzler roadtech z6 since bt020 was not avaible at hkl. I found the tyre quite good. Not sure why the mechanic pump in only 250psi when I normally pump in at 270psi, I think cos it's a new tyre and due to safety reason .

Hi BA,

Bloating can happen to anyone unlucky it is the manufacture fault~ insufficient or improper mould injection"rubber" during the process.

So you are one of those unlucky. your back tyre bt21 i suppose and your front mz6?

Different manufacturer uses different combination of compound to their tyre same brand not so bad different manufacture!!!! need to think about it! During tyre warm each tyre design for certain expectation ways they warm-up as some warm-up faster then others as their" manufacturer" claims, like for; sports, all weather, snow or to our high humidity conditions and not forgetting stopping distance also effects by tyres.

Hi bro,

I know about our bike can change to after market exhaust long time ago -you can check it out in 'ebay UK' they have few brands but what are you looking for style or power.

I rather keep that money for ins/rd tax or get a nice helmet, jacket or so for divvy- it don't make much of a difference. It's original exhaust is a beauty by itself keep it polish clean it glistens under the sun and no-one will steal it thats for sure...he,heee!!!

front tyre 250psi or rear tyre 250psi?

based on our XJ900S operating manual, for highway riding or if u're carrying heavier load (meaning with pillion and/or cargo) the manufacturer recommends 250psi for FRONT tyre and 290 psi for REAR tyre...

I will make a posting later regarding the recommended tyres to use and appropriate tyre pressures - now at work lah, night duty.... ;p

i agree with silverghost - as for me, i LOVE the stock pipes!!! the sound it makes is unique ---> when a Diversion accelerates using the stock pipes, it sounds like a jet engine...

i was surfing the net yesterday, and read the reviews that some overseas Divvy riders posted... let me quote some:

"A great all rounder and a vastly underrated bike. If they were still making them I'd buy another - what more can I say. When replacement time comes I'll look for a low mileage Divi before I look for anything else - that's how much it suits me."

"Great bike, pity they don`t still make them. I would buy one again."

"Great, would buy another, but they don't make them anymore. Hands off riding can be risky, but a bucket load of fun."

---> I was telling my wife the same thing, even if I own ONE divvy, I'll buy another just for the sake of having another Diversion... Once you ride a Divvy, u'd want no other bike except the Divvy!!

"Until now, the Diversion 900 has fallen into the "Ha Ha, you don't get one" category, as Yamaha decided not to import the bike to America's shores."

---> My wife laughed when she read this part, "Ha Ha, you don't get one" (cause she knows how true the statement is!!!)
