Just came back from this noon for servicing + change of tire + some headlight problem issues. They are very friendly but i just found out the background light of my rpm is not working, cause in the noon too bright didnt realise when i ride out from the shop, only find out when i ride out to have my supper. my horn told them got sometimes not working but maybe i didnt explain properly ar then the problem still exist. my kickstart also very loose, when start to ride will fall out, didnt told them about that, they didnt realise. my idle rpm they lowered from 1.2 to 1k, now will die at gear 1 when bike is not warm enough, just now at evening need to warm up abit if not keep dying at gear 1. maybe its just my bike who die at 1k idle rpm i dont know . .

all these are minor problems ar could fix them back my own except the rpm light. dont know should go back to fix up the rpm light anot anot, i am staying in jurong, specially went there after hearing all the good feedbacks dont know can find time again anot, tml still got pt lessons and stuff.

not to say unhappy with it lah, just a tiny bit dissapointed especially after hearing all the good feedbacks, probably im sway ba. yeah humans make mistakes, but humans tends to be biased too ar, didnt leave the best impression as some of our butties here. but one thing i had to agree with is their service. they are friendly, they called me when its done, called me asking me whether to change parts anot when they found out is worned out, also they fixed my bike within the time they told me. i doubt every workshops can do that =)

btw im new to bikes ar, so cant really gauge well also, so take my words with a pinch of salt. will be trying out other well feedbacked shops as time comes. will be trying planet motors the next time

(eg. rpm not werking)

but all these are small issues ba...

so i suggest u give them a call and tell them ur issues and i am sure they will be glad to rectify all ur outstanding problems...

Well, it doesn't stop you from posting anti-unique comments in the first place but please feel free to continue. As i enjoy it immensely:D

I have been to Unique once to flush my coolant with Engine Ice. The short plump man (no offense to him as that i don't know his name) is the one that serve me. I left my bike there for him, when i return 40 mins later he informed me that my coolant cap spoil whether i want to change. I ask how much he informed me $15, i told him to go ahead. I am happy with their friendly service and will visit them again. Must meet this Ah Kee, sound like he has a mini fan club.:cheer:

brother, seriously i dun think there is a need for u to post here ah,'they' will just to shoot u, then hail the shop.

i have been sending my s4 to unique motor since early this year..all i can say is :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

my 1st experience there...i juz go with no expectations (coz after much dissapointin exp with the motor tiams...i dare not place anyhope when i explore diff motor tiam..the only reason i go to diff motor tiams coz i wanna find one that i can trust and stick to..)

i went there fer EO and spark plug change...i go there and took one of their package...as usual the cool bottle of water on such a sweltering day was def a relief :cheeky:

i like to sit and observe the motor tiam mech do my bike..from there i will make the call if whether they did a good job and whether i will patronise the shop again..

i noticed the mech was very through and detailed when he attended to my bike..after takin out my 4 spark plugs...he brought it to me and showed me the head...2 of em were white and the other 2 still black..showed that my cub was not in sync...he suggested to do tune and told me it would def make my bike a lot smoother and more fuel efficient...

i juz go along and let him work on it..took my cub out..washed it throughly..then assemble it back..once my spark plug and EO changed...he started the tuning...i'll give him 9/10 fer his effort...took almost 45 mins to tune it to his liking...

then when he got onto my bike...he told me by cone bearing bout to spoil..suggested to change..i took the plunge and said ok..

he proceed on with the job...and sure enuf..when he showed me my current bearing with the new one..both of my current one was quiet worn out (The ball bearing was marked clearly on its holder as per the new piece)...

after all said and done...he personally took it out fer a spin juz to make sure all's ok...i paid up and was given a black UM tshirt and fuel additive :D ..i rode off and was plesantly surprised by the vast improvement on my bike...

this is 1 of the many good exp i had with Unique Motor... since then..been there to do all of my servicing and 'projects' :D

all i can say is that this motor tiam is not like the rest...their heads are on their shoulders and they do not chop ppl..they tell u the prob as it is..then they will list to u the solutions available...all cost will be told to u upfront b4 job is started...and along the way...if they see the need to change something coz it'll impact the performance/safety..they'l highlight it to u and let u make the decision..not like other motor tiam who will push u to change parts un-necessarily...

Keep up the good work Unique Motor...no matter wat the mass say...u'll have a loyal customer in myself! Upz for Unique Motor!!

what that doesn't kills u, makes u stronger!!

From now on no more other bike shops, I will only stick to Unique & be their loyal customers :)

Beware!!! Due to good recommendations n good feedback of this famous "P" motortiam at Ubi, I decided to give it a try. However, it turns up super disappointed & very much feel that I been cheated. My Spec 2's meter "check" again when I press the start so I decide to try out this shop "P".

I was kinda of turn off when I saw this dirty n messy shop, but it did not take long before the Doc from this shop check my bike. After checking he told me my battery & rectifier need to be replaced. Fine, I have that in mind as well, so go ahead with the replacement. I was quoted $75 for the rectifier which I find it quite cheap so I ask the Doc again whether it is original? He told me confirm orignal S4 rectifier. I left this "P" shop as a happy customer thinking I have got a good deal.

4 days later, when I was riding on the expressway, my bike suddenly dies off. It was very dangerous as I was on the 1st lane, I slowly shift to the road shoulder & try to restart my bike but to no valid. I called up this "P" bike shop the guy who answer the call told me towing charge $25 & have to wait around 2hrs. So I called UM for help, Kelvin arranged the towing service for me immediately. The tow truck arrived about 30mins later.

When I was chatting with the truck driver, then I knew both UM n the "P" shop use the same towing crew, I was very pissed off. Subsequently when my bike reached UM, I saw Kelvin paid the truck driver $20 which is what UM charged me as well. Kelvin even told me the towing service had increased to $20 due to "rocketed" fuel price since 1st July.So why "P" shop need to charge additional $5 for nothing??? :gun: :gun:

The chief mech at UM check my bike & told me the rectifier is not original & not charging as well. He even showed me a honda packed made in Japan rectifier which is different from mine. This "P" shop really no ethics, even the so called Doc cheated me by saying "confirm S4 original rectifier" Haiz... now I understand the saying "Good things don't come cheap, Cheap things don't come good"

Anyway that will be my 1st and last time to "P" shop #*%$^&@#$^.

Funny how a UM supporter decided to try other shop instead? I'm not takin sides but..I just find it peculiar..:cheeky:

There are price differences among all the shops..Its just that some shops are able to offer a cheaper price due to they buy in larger quantities..Hence why I don't stick to one shop and get different stuff from different shops..Bike shops are runnin a business too..They need to find ways to earn to make a livin..Don't you think so?

Why didn't you go back to the said shop to rectify the problem again as you have advised someone else in this forum to do likewise? Shouldn't you practice what you preach? :giddy:

As what bujang_senang said..Go to a shop without expectations..Maybe your expectation is too high? This is by no means "flamin/shootin"..I need not do so as I'm neither a hardcore customer nor do I own a share of any of the shops mentioned..

Y cant a UM supporter try out other shop? eg: I like the curry fish head from changi village n been patronising them, then one day someone told me there is another very nice curry fish head at cheaper price @ Ang Mo Kio of course I will luv to try it. make sense? :giddy:

With regards to u mentioning I did not go back to the shop like what I preach, then maybe u did not read the post carefully or your "england too powderful"

And as I mentioned, I called up "P" shop 1st when my bike break down and can not restart but the towing fee & waiting time is kind of ridiculous that is why I called UM for help. Tell me how u will feel or do when u r me at the same situation. Standing at the road shoulder n wait for 2hours? :faint:

Come on bro, I m only sharing my experience n encounter, my expectations r nt high but just feel cheated by a reputatable shop.

No offence...:goodluck:

Bro Confucius,

you do need to read the facts carefully. In my personal opinion he was not wrong to try another shop. Dun u think that obvious suspicion will arise when u get something done at one shop at a cheaper price(the rectifier) and find out ur bike still has a problem ? Answer this question truthfully...would u still go back to that shop ?

Because of his clear alertness shown in this matter, i think many of us will be aware of such bad practices by certain motorshops and refrain ourselves from patronizing them in future. Now for a fact by his experience shared we all know that UM is a trustworthy motorshop who only deals with original spare parts.

Now Confucius answer me...in future if ur rectifier is faulty, would u go to "P" to getit fixed ? :slapforehead:

U also say u do not have a share in any shop or a hardcore customer...so how does this statement affect u in any way ? U r just contradicting urself...haiz...

U should practice ur preach as well and if u r not a hardcore like many of us(including me) out there, then you should focus on other threads (Eg. Garage Sales).

This is just what i feel.No offence mate.

Have a Nice Day!

Relax bro, 2 years back I used to patronise this shop as well but similar mishap happened. That time i just got my license so I trust the Doc due to good things are said about him n the shop n he is really very friendly. After then a forumer help me check my bike then bring me to another work shop, the mech told me that the previous repairer use a TA150 piston on my SP150!!! When confronted, he can still tell me SP150 n TA150 both 150cc use same piston! End up I ve to overhaul again at another workshop :sian:

Now I never go there liao guess both of us suffered the same fate with the "P" shop. In fact not only us, I ve heard from some bikers who r very pissed with the shop as well especially abt immitations parts.

live is short , play hard ...... :gun: :help:

You did mention how the shop was in a mess didn't you? I'm guessin you were expectin a spick and span air conditioned shop?

Luck be on my side..I've never towed my bike..My bike did breakdown once..But I pushed it all the way to the bike shop..:faint:

Bro Confucius,

you do need to read the facts carefully. In my personal opinion he was not wrong to try another shop. Dun u think that obvious suspicion will arise when u get something done at one shop at a cheaper price(the rectifier) and find out ur bike still has a problem ? Answer this question truthfully...would u still go back to that shop ?

Confucius? :slapforehead:

Why wouldn't I? I would like to get an explanation from the shop..You didn't read properly what I posted either..:faint:

Because of his clear alertness shown in this matter, i think many of us will be aware of such bad practices by certain motorshops and refrain ourselves from patronizing them in future. Now for a fact by his experience shared we all know that UM is a trustworthy motorshop who only deals with original spare parts.

Now Confucius answer me...in future if ur rectifier is faulty, would u go to "P" to getit fixed ? :slapforehead:

Again..Are you talkin to me? :giddy:

U also say u do not have a share in any shop or a hardcore customer...so how does this statement affect u in any way ? U r just contradicting urself...haiz...
I'm lost..Kindly explain to me how am I contradictin myself? :giddy:

U should practice ur preach as well and if u r not a hardcore like many of us(including me) out there, then you should focus on other threads (Eg. Garage Sales).
I guess you're not a stalker then..I am in Garage Sales..Except that there hasn't been anythin for sale that has taken my fancy..And what you said..I don't see how it is in anyway linked directly to whatever you are tryin to imply..I was talkin about being a customer and you jumped to focusin on other threads? Enlighten me on how it is linked please? Thanks..

This is just what i feel.No offence mate.

Have a Nice Day!

No offence taken..But whats with a confused emoticon after that? Not sure whether you meant it or not? :giddy:

Hi bro...where is this P Shop?

still waiting for UNIQUE reply... he say going to look into this matteR? I wonder what they looking at, when they are the ONE that made such mistakes.

Maybe they could just sack the mechanic that causes this problem to you.. Due to his inexperienced it will cause more harm than good to the bike or maybe stick to your own mechanic @ UM like Ah Kee ...That way nothing will go wrong.

Hope i can answer as best as i can ...

See the problem with conversing with u is that u think u r always right and are being so stuck up about it.

Let me enlighten u on ur poor use and comprehension of the English vocabulary, while i am at it.

A new rectifier caused ur bike to die-off, that is just some fishy matter dun u think?

If u already know that the shop is unable to satisfy ur needs as a customer, will u still go back there?

If u were to tell me u will call them and ask about the matter over the phone, u r being completely honest.

But if u tell me u rather tow ur bike there again, find out ur problem the hard way and then maybe tow it again to another shop to get it fixed, then u r just kidding me, urself and the whole world.

U r obviously blinded by the facts that are surrounding the situation and choose to take sides.

Listen to what i am doing. You may claim that i am taking sides here and y should i not? For every good or bad comment passed, it is always backed up with justification. Not just plain, normal, horrible vocabulary passed just to personally satisfiy one's needs to accumulate more posts.

As to the matter pertaining to ur question about contradiction:

You justify one fact that different shops have different prices to different products in the market. And then u question Killer75's integrity by visiting other motorshops.(Contradictory)

In logic, a contradiction consists of a logical incompatibility between two or more propositions. It occurs when the propositions, taken together, yield two conclusions which form the logical inversions of each other. Illustrating a general tendency in applied logic, Aristotle’s law of noncontradiction states that “One cannot say of something that it is and that it is not in the same respect and at the same time.”

(Quoted from Wikipedia)

I really hope for ur sake and mine that u will take u time and read the definition slowly as to digest into that thing in ur head u claim is a brain.

You said: U claim u r not not flaming or shooting and u dun need to do so coz u r not a hardcore customer or have a share in any shops.

If u did read ur post, it was a direct missle aimed at Killer75 with no real justifications at all. Everyone has his/her own free will or trail of thought as to what they feel is best to do. What has that got to do with anything? I did not really get ur point by even saying all those unwanted statements in the

1st place.

As what bujang_senang said..Go to a shop without expectations..Maybe your expectation is too high? This is by no means "flamin/shootin"..I need not do so as I'm neither a hardcore customer nor do I own a share of any of the shops mentioned.

Then y should this topic of discussion suddenly become ecstacy to u?

Y r u getting so agitated over something that u r not hardcore about?

You also said: I guess you're not a stalker then..I am in Garage Sales..Except that there hasn't been anythin for sale that has taken my fancy..And what you said..I don't see how it is in anyway linked directly to whatever you are tryin to imply..I was talkin about being a customer and you jumped to focusin on other threads? Read ur own phrase inside CareFooly. U dont see any link to what i am trying to say but u obviously understand what i am trying to imply.

In simple English: If u r not hardcore about biker, then all these news would be of little or no interest to u. So u should visit other threads. Aiyo!

And u say u were talking about being a customer: Ya and this is coming from a guy who is not a hardcore customer. (Contradictory again)

You are a person who(indirectly) has the best bike in the world. Whole life-span of the bike only died once and even then u decided to push ur bike(c**ap-s**te).

And yet u come in here and go on and on and on and on about what is right for Killer75 to do. It is fair for u to tell others to pratice what they preach but it is unfair to ask u to do so too? Grow up my little friend.

Seriously man, reply to this is a waste of my time and to urs as i dun think u will be able to understand what i am saying(oh damn).

Have fun reading Confucius. BTW the confused emoticon was meant to be there. It was supposed to be a description of u but i guess u were just too confused to get that. Haiz! :slapforehead:
