I tink neo is referring to the torque vs power graph.

If u divide the rev meter segment by unit, at

2x1000rpm maybe u got 10horse and

4x1000rpm u got 20horse. But @

6x1000rpm, u may get 50horse. There is a spike in the power output. In track application, i tink they call it "suprises" which is unhealthy. As the term "uneven" in tis conext may means unpreditable...at higher rpm, the horese power can and possibly will fall back due to engine constraint, mechanical thermal stress, insufficent air intake, etc.

On the V-twin, torque is controllable without spikes in hp. Machine is torquey but preditable and easy to ride. :thumb:

I think if i really go type it all out to explain to you, Minerva should hire me to be their sales person liao, hee hee.

The difference is like PlayStation3 and Xbox360. Both are lotsa fun, have great visuals and sound, but are unique in their own way.

Whether is worth the money or not its up to you to decide. Ever watched people's reaction when a Ducati is fired up? You don't get the same reaction when a CBR1000RR/YZFR1/GSXR1000/ZX10R is fired up.

haha. hey u might try to apply for tat post then. haha.

well i guess u r right. every bike of certain cc hav their uniqueness.

worth the money or not, of coz i can say tat its worth. the only problem is

when u sell it off, i can say tat its hard to sell it off, (coz of where i m from)

they prefer jap bike and the part & after sales support is poor in malaysia.

obviously u r right. jap bike dun hav the kind of x factor (i guess).

when i look at the photo of r6, r1 , comment is nice. however it doesnt

create the urge for me to pursue it. duke bike hav the good quality if craftmanship.

lot of explanation to b elaborated.

haven got to hear a duke roar in front of me yet but i heard it in moto gp.

the sound is deep and matured.

i guess u guys out here know better than me. :bounce: :bounce:

749/999/MTS owners, anyone interested in HIDs?

I've got a couple of HB3 units for sale. I'm familiar with Superbikes, so can help install if needed.

Doubles lowbeam output, 2/3 the power consumption (Voltmeter reads 14.0 instead of 13.9 with normal bulb, 14.2 with lights off)

PM me for details. :thumb:

It'll wear out pretty fast if you don't take care of it.

My 999 is still on its original chain and sprockets, now at 20,000km. Mostly touring/track mileage.

Yrs ago, superbike rules that a V twin bike is able to race with more CC to make it up for it's top end, so that time in Supersports, you have the 748 Duc vs the 600 Inline 4s, and the Superbikes, you get the 1000 twins vs 750cc Inline 4s (Yammie ran a 700cc aka R7).

But it seems advantages for the twins and due to the commercial market of 1000cc Inline 4s, they opened up the class to what we see today. The litre bikes in the Superbikes. Funny why they dun allow 750 inlines in the Supersports, ha ha.

So far, a 97' 748 could have some fun with the 600cc if they are not too new (up to 02?) cuz the 748 makes up for it's lost on top with topping the speed faster than a 600cc. But vs the newer 600cc, eat smoke. The fun part is the cornering where you chased up and then they will run away on the straights. Unless you are a rider with a certain capability, which I'm definately not.

Maybe the 749 could be the bike to take on the later model 600cc? I dunno....never ridden one. Tot tuister is gonna buy it and let me know, ha ha.....

748 against the 750 inline is eat smoke if both the riders are as good. Again, not sure about the 749 Duc.

Hope you roughly get the ball game here.... twins hit the top speed fast, but inline 4 has a better top speed.

Cheers!!!

Definte your "take care".....

Could be intensive for some of us already, ha ha.....

Was thinking of using PD680 to clean my chain. You think it's safe?

I use JP2, heehee :D

It should be safe. Just make sure you rinse it off after use, else it will fling like nobody's business.

I lube my chain every 500km, or for my transport bike, every week. (every Sunday evening is Chain Lube time)
