I think its a case of convenience as well as branding. Termis and Duc are often associated with each other. I guess some Duc owners might go with Termis since you won't see Termis on most other makes of bikes.

I for one am not too impressed with the build quality of Termis.... so I'm always open to alternative brands.

Obitrok - Are you running Temis on your 999? Just curious cos I think the only available exhaust systems that look good on the 999 are the Leo Vinci and Termis ones.

yea, am running on termis. plus point to it is that it is 'not that loud' on idle. it sometimes help to avoid unnecessary trouble, if u get what i mean.

hi dudes...

i am thinking of getting a duke 996. Can anyone shed some light on this bike? Like things to take note of with this bike... servicing blah blah... i have read this thread thoroughly.. just want to know if there's anything else to add... Does anyone knows how to see if there's an accident or smth?

oh.. is 18k ok for a 996 that is registered in Sept 01? Mileage 14k only with termi pipes and ohlins rear.

thanks.

I think the price quite alright........

Even though it's a 916 engine, it's never a 916....

It's a timeless classic. 1994, ten years on and it still looks so desirable.

BTW, when kopi?!?!?

Wanna see ur ST4S.

Well anyways, a Superbike if put to good use, will sure tends to grind the tarmac a little, eh???

However, I could say that the frame of a Duc is relatively strong to take some abuse, even head on impact and not suffer a fatal fate!!! :thumb: You rode one, you know.....

How's the condition of that 748??? You like??? Ha ha ha......time to get suit bro. :D

Steel frames, strong and rebuildable....

But dunno wat was the damage if any to the bike.

Lookwise quite pristine, engine sounds like might need new rings.

Pricewise quite okay other than the doubt of the crash.

Didn't ride it so didn't know whether alighment is good or not.

Maybe I will drop by again this weekend. :lovestruck:

Damn.... V-twins.... Didn't understand what abt it till I rode one.

Ktkt, I viewed that 748, but i'm familiar with 4valved motors, so i dunno if it sounds good or not. Frankly, it just sounds like its got a loose conrod or some screws rattling around inside :D

But its still a 748 afterall, love it!
