All Ducatis run horribly below 4k RPMs.

I think it's an inherent design of the bike.... u can call it a bike flaw.

Too bad the starter sounds so weak. I'll go clean my battery contacts and see if its better. My Suzuki's starter sounds alarmingly loud when cranking, that should be the way. :p

About rough running at low rpms, improve it by downsizing the front sprocket or enlarging the rear. That's high on the list of priority mods... just before loud pipes! :gun:

its normal. starter will turn over like its about to give up, sounds real weak. they gave u a new batt right?

No, same old one. After riding today it cranked, or rather, tried to crank. I could hear each excruciating crank, trying to overcome the compression, followed by a BANG~!

 

Charged it up, cleaned up the contacts with alcohol (were coated with some grease), worked better. But I changed to a new one anyway, $120. New one works even better. :thumb:
