Depends on model.

Eg. 03'999 has 125hp, 05'999R has 150hp.

And does top speed matter? I think what matters more is how well the bike handles when its not upright :D

Eh... how abt compression ratio?

How would one with 10:1 (MTS 1000DS) compare to a 11.5:1 (say... the KTM 950 supermoto)?

I think top speed does matter... depends on the rider's character... :)

The higher the compression ratio the more stressed are the working components... the shorter the engine life. Why would a enduro bike need so much horsepower? If you're looking for speed shouldn't you be looking for sports bike instead?

I fail to understand the logic for having a bike with an engine comparable to a GP bike's horsepower when the average man cannot control it! ... other than the prerogative to say 'My bike puts out XXX hp how much can yours do?'

I think the Ducati 1000DS engine (Multistrada, Monster, Supersport and Sport classics) is the best all round engine of all. It has all the torque where it matters most, cheaper maintenance and probably better reliability.

Plus, its air cooled, and I find air cooled Desmos sound better!

I'm still kinda intimidated by my bike's power, I seldom touch the "powerband", which is said to be around 8krpms and above? Even on the track or blasting on highways, I rarely rev above 7krpms.

No leh, I got some rain at Lornie road all the way to AMK, but I just went slowly. Had to go to work, so must reach home nomather what.

And I havn't changed yet, I figured it will be still good for one more session. Easy session of course :p I'm still deciding between 014s (Great value for $), M1s (Better performance, $100 more)...

Someone is selling his 05'CBR600RR stock tyres, I dunno what model are those, should I get it? Its brand new, has maybe about 20metres mileage on them.
