My experiences with using the STM slave cylinder....

- Hydraulic fluid stays clean (yes, did not turn black even after a couple of weeks, but I do not ride everyday, that's one thing)

- Hydraulic fluid did not drain away (guess the triple seals are still damn new)

- A lighter clutch action (Neo told me it seems to be a 30mm cylinder)

Verdict, go get it.....when your oem unit starts leaking. Way better than the brembo one.

ktkt, how's your Evozone one??? As good???

Eh, check the tyre thread, i replied your question.

Ooi, can post here also as a couple of us used this tyre before....

Just for your info, street pressure on my Duc, I ran 36F/42R for DC as per normal Jap bikes, but on my Michelins Pilot Sports and ContiForce Max, they seems comfortable at Duc recommended 32F/36R.....so you have to experiment bike or tyre manufacturer recommended pressure.

I believe tyre manufacturer recommendation comes first as they make the tyres, they know what the tyre can do. Bike manufacturer is only current with the tyres in the market during the production of the bike itself, which mine is 1997!!!

BTW, Pilot Sports and ContiForce Max are recommended by their respective manufacturer to run at 32F/36R for my Duc, so that's probably why they felt harsh at 36F/42R instead.

Anyone here changed the coolant reservoir for the 748/916/996/998 superbikes??? I know Red Rocket did, but I forgot to ask him just now over dinner....

Any aftermarket alternatives??? Mine's cracked....I'm talking about the one right under the fuel tank, near the steering cone, not the one near the engine....

Wear and tear, and exposure under sun I guess.....the 3rd time I went track it cracked already, squirting coolant whenever I push the bike (constantly bring it up to 10K rpm). I consulted a mechanic and he recommended patching up the reservoir, which I did with aerodite. Now it's seeping again....dunno should get a new one or get a composite shop to patch it properly for me or not.

Oh, squirting as in not during riding, but when I pit in to take a short break, it will start to squirt out from the crack.

Change it myself if that's your question. Not difficult at all BUT super leh cheah or troublesome... tank must come off, lower air box must come loose enough for the reservoir to squeeze out... there may be more stuff to dismantle before the air box comes loose like the air runners, fuel hose to ejectors, etc.

Have tried to solve this problem very long liao... crack may times (4?) it only stop after I buy 1 extra one for spare!!!

Was planning to coat the crack one with polyurethene (or PU) when the current one give way... but until now(1.5 year) nothing happen.
