Change it myself if that's your question. Not difficult at all BUT super leh cheah or troublesome... tank must come off, lower air box must come loose enough for the reservoir to squeeze out... there may be more stuff to dismantle before the air box comes loose like the air runners, fuel hose to ejectors, etc.

Have tried to solve this problem very long liao... crack may times (4?) it only stop after I buy 1 extra one for spare!!!

Was planning to coat the crack one with polyurethene (or PU) when the current one give way... but until now(1.5 year) nothing happen.

That's the thing, I no time to DIY....I was thinking of taking it out and yes, patch repair it with PU too.....your spare can fit my bike??? If it fails, I might just grab your spare if it fits.

PU, same as epoxy???

And not to mention, I wanted to wrap my exhaust so long ago, and I need to weld back the heat shield attachment plate.....all these are waiting.

You still wanna mod your paddock stand or not??? Go tie up with my dad, I told him so long ago already.

Have yet to explore the potential . Something different from my 748, I should said it is more "unculture" compared to the duke. o_O

I wanna try it leh... One day we go track and swap for a few laps? :D

The 999 engine is very refined, almost too refined for a Duke actually. I prefer the older 916 engines.

Sure Bro..

Agreed, had tried a 999 and previously own a 996, and a 748, end result still find the later more fun to ride and love the roar from the Termis.. :thumb:

this might be part of the reason not to continue with the 9s'.. Ha Ha :D

Guys using Brembo brakes with individual pads, you guys might wanna check your pads periodically, cos they seem to wear at different rates.

I had one of my pads down nearly to the metal, like left 0.2mm of friction material only :giddy: The other pads were at least 4mm thick!

Thank goodness theres a built in wear indicator that gives the brakes a rough feel. I initially thought it was brake dust, cos the pads still look good.

Nice cosy launch of the Ducati Classics at Minerva tonight.

Certainly had fun meeting up with everyone.

Red Rocket won the 1st prize of a Ducati riding jacket.

Those who couldn't or miss the event.

Pics as below.

http://www.photoviki.com/thumbnails.php?album=643

The Sports 1000 are much nicer in my opinion than the Paul Smart Limiteds. :lovestruck:

Nevertheless, all 3 Paul Smart limited are sold.

The red Sports 1000 was sold at the launch leaving the yellow one

still available for grab. :lovestruck:

If anyone is interested in a fully spec'ed out 916, email me at [email protected]

Just briefly...

Condition - Immaculate

Ducati 916 Biposto - '1998 but registered in 2000.

Mileage to date:

I only covered

Full 50mm C/F Termignoni System (Race Only)

Corsa Airbox with C/F trumpets and enlarged C/F intake runners (Self

Fabricated HiFlow Foam Filters)

Adustable Fuel Pressure regulator

16M Termignoni Chipped with TFI fuel plug and play fuel controller

Cams have been dialed in with Adjustable Cam pulleys

Corsa Race Breather Valve with Self Fabricated Enlarged Breather Box (Carbon

Fibre) and one way valve.

Corsa Foot Adjustable Foot Pegs,

Currently Running Adjustable Reverse shifter by CycleCat

Rear Brake by CycleCat

Ohlins fully adjustable front forks (Serviced

Ohlins fully adjustable rear shock (Serviced

Marchesini Magnesium Wheels

Renthall Quick Change Rear Sprocket with some branded gold chain (

Brembo Corsa Front Master Pump

Brembo Billet Race Front Calipers

Brembo Fully Floating Cast Rotors

Brake Pads are new but given these are race pads, will probably need to be

changed from lack of use.

Full braided brakelines all round.

Braided clutch line too.

Arrow Steering Damper

Carbon/Kelvar Race Cowl (with SBK large intakes - to suite airbox)

Screen is a similar one off a BSB Ducati

1 piece Left/Right Panels (Racers Den) in 3 ply FibreGlass (good for street

use)

Carbon Fibre Belly Pan

Converted to a Single Seater unit with a C/F race unit (and its clipped on

with Dzus)

C/F Ducati Hugger, C/F Front Guard, C/F undertray, C/F rear number plat

holder, C/F Oil Cooler Guard

C/F Corsa exhaust and foot guards

C/F Clipons.

New paint job (Ducati Red) using very high quality paints (i.e. expensive! -

no runs and glossy without even waxing and importantly, not done

by the local crappy paint shops)

Relatively new clutch

Oil changes, hmm, every other track day, ie.

15W50 Full Synthetic

New Belts (

Thats all I can think off at the moment. Probably more but its all in the

details.

Basically, I worked on the bike myself, stripped almost every bolt and put

them back with anti seize and torqued to correct spec.

Its now been laid up and prepped for storage.

Also, loads of spares, 2 sets of stock 50mm exhaust etc.

Its now been laid up and prepped for storage, not been ridden since Feb '05.

Garaged out of the weather in my room at home.

A set of hi-compression forged pistons that I never got around installing

will be provided with the bike. Installation will be your own responsibility
