Hi guys,

I'm new here. Just bought my Beloved Phantom a few days back.

However, when i was cruising at 100km the engine seems to be very noisy, got the rattling sound and keep vibrating, got the 'dragging' gear feeling. Max can go till 120km only, Any idea what's the problem? i asked the mechanic at the SPC station at pasir ris there he told me needa change clutch plate for $85.

 

Also after when i travel a long distance, e.g from changi to clementi via pie, then when stopping at traffic, the ideling become very soft, and engine would like to die by itself after a while. any idea whats the problem?

where can i get the prob triangle STICKER ?? i've seen a lot of motorcycles is using sticker instead of the plate sold on DIY shops.

i currently using the plate but it broke after a couple of months.

any help ?

Jurong point selfix got sell; most of the time I see the stickers in hardware shops..I heard driving sch like bbdc got sell but nv buy from there before. .

sorry kinda new here but just a few queries in mind. Hope you season riders can really help me. Does anyone know which shops still carries new TA200 phantom fire edition for sale? And when buying a new bike is there any maintenance i need to look out for? E.g. season the engine? change engine oil more regularly? Thanks!

nope. yr best bet would be to look around at the bike shops or sbf used bike sales for a 2nd hand one. try ubi or defu bike shops. west side im nt so sure

buy a ferocious toy animal that cats are frighten off...hang it on your bike...

 

 

or get some dog poo on your bike seat ...sure will work

Advice frm Cat Welfare Society personnel, use white vinegar.

pour some into a spray bottle & spot mist it @ ard the bike.

as cats dislikes the smell, it does deter them temporary..

Hi, any advice how may i up my fuel comsumptions for my beloved phantom?

Does turning the Carb screw helps?

im gettin about 28.8L/km for Msia shell 97,

26L/km for shell 95

26.5l/km for Esso 5000

I ride quite hard, usually go ride about 100-129 at expressway.

any idea whats the problem? couldnt seems to hit 30-33L/km =/

anyone can advice how long usually will the bike last after overhaul, as my COE is ending next week, I am thinking if I should renew 10 years or 5 years after renewal. As I wanted to take into how long it will last after overhaul as consideration.

Kindly bear with me on this. Recently i noticed my chain having alot of slack and want to tighten it. I looked through the manual and it say the tightening is to be done on the side of rear brake and not on the side of the chain itself. Is this right?

 

I mean,the manual didnt exactly say but it showed a picture of the nuts with the disc brake. So am i to adjust on the brake side,the chain side or both? Confused lah.

 

First bike...so not entirely sure about it. I would like to do the greasemonkey-ing myself,ya know? So i can get to learn more about the guts of this machine.
