Hi guys,

Just got my phantom last few days ago.

Was just wondering if the position of your fuel cock is in the "ON", "OFF" or "RESERVE" when topping up petrol?

Any differences if i top up the petrol in different position?

If i top up in the "ON" position, the fuel will top up the reserve tank as well?

the best is to top-up with the ON position, cux at least wen u running out, u can change to RES.. if u RES all the way, ur bike will jux DIE if u dont keep track of ur mileage..

A ride a day, keeps the doctor away!

not legal ah, just to let you know. if the white ants bite you. its 500 dollars down the drain.

my exhaust wrapped with alu foil sounds good enough for me. deep and bassy. when i rev in parking lot the other riders will look back at me somemore. fun.

Where to buy the alu foil? Got pics to show bro?

Hi guys, I recently obtained my 2B licence and was wondering if there were any shops you guys could recommend to me. :D

I went around Yishun, AMK and balestier (wing yap) and received a few quotations but I'm really not very sure as the prices really varied far and wide.

phantom ta 200.

for coe ending 2013 you can expect to pay around 1000-1500, depending on condition.

just keep an eye out for weird sounds during idle, throttle response, exhaust backfiring (pop pop sound) and general conditions. obviously a bike with rusts everywhere goes to show the engine condition isnt any better as well.

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

off course not...if it is there will be poping all over...

check your fuel mix....not correctly tuned...u end up with unburn fuel at the exhaust...and spontaneous combustion takes place..most time when u cut throttle...but may explode anytime..

sometime it is very loud..and may scared the **** out off u...pop pop is a smalll farting only..

yeah, close throttle shouldnt have pop pop sound.

i tuned my phantom to run slightly richer so theres more response, so i get pop pop when i close throttle at lower speeds.

POP POP ah, Not BANG BANG. if Bang bang means too rich, happened to me once. damn funny.

If pop pop pop sounds comes up when you close throttle and free wheeling, you might want to consider changing your air intake valve. $65 at planet. Ask choong he'd tell you the same thing. Personally, i like it and dont know what damage it does to the engine. Pretty much regretted replacing it. ha.

if is not damaging i wouldn't try to fix. as i kinda like the sound as well haha

but the pop is really kinda loud that it scares my pillions several times.

I want to get a second hand phantom ta200. This is my 1st time buying a bike. After read forum and motoring check list.

I got one question for now.

1. Before you can do a bike transfer you need to buy insurance. Do I need a license before you can buy insurance?

I'm waiting for my tp on 13 july. :) Hope to join the phantom family soon.

no you dont need a license to buy...but you have to name a rider..

You cannot ride...but the temptation is high...

Buy it when you get license..

Hello,

I am looking to get either the 150 or 200 for my first bike. I am getting a used bike because I will be upgrading. Can anyone here please recommend a good 2nd-hand Phantom dealer? Thank you.

Kind regards,

Midnight Star
