Hi Marko, the manufacturers recommended tyre pressure is 200 front and rear which is what some of us follow.

There's another alternative to tyre pressure management - look at the pressure on the tyre sidewall and subtract 10%.

All in all tyre pressure is up to individual riders' preferences. It's possible to tune handling by having more or less pressure in one tyre compared to the other.

A slight overinflation gives benefits in dry weather handling and fuel economy; these are very tough tyres and we don't run the bikes at such high speeds for temperature to pose a risk.

As for silencer; all stock exhausts have a silencer/muffler; I don't believe there's an aftermarket performance pipe for the Phantom although some have tried modifying the internals etc.

Well you could upgrade the square pipe to the round pipe like some of the new FBA plate 200ccs have but $$$$ ...

Hha i thought silencer is like juz adding something at the exhaust.. AHHA. mus change whole exhaust one ar.. so sianss.

manual would recommend 200 front, 220 rear... you don't have to max out the air pressure... :cheeky:

how come when i check my air pressure at the petrol kiosk, its pretty high, can even hit 300+ after planet pump the air for me, not just 1 time.. must i release the air or jus leave it? (PS: now is abt 260+[rear])

well... planet's air pump is very powerful... in order to power the compressed air drill... so of course if they use their pump to pump tyres its air pressure would be abnormally high...

the air will escape on its own to its max air pressure rating... although you can hasten that process by pumping air yourself with a petrol kiosk air pump...

I may be switching to front Metz, Pirelli rear. Metzs are just lovely in the rain but the rear tyre could be more stable during wet corners (such as South Buona Vista).

It's not a bad thing as the Metzelers will communicate to you if the tyre is being pushed to the limit and will wobble a bit. Makes you want to slow down a bit and not crash!

hey just wondering anyone has problems pumping the rear tyres? just cant seem to fit the air chuck to the rear haha..

you have to get the wheel to be in a position such that the air valve is behind and horizontal to the ground...like this will be much easier to pump. :cheeky:

$80 only? Good price!

There are people trying to sell CBR150 tyres at $90 each (Each! not a set). Before people got conned I told them Phantom tyres can be gotten at $120 or so a set. Big, huge, fluffy tyres vs skinny little ones.

I'm more than happy with Metz especially at high speed in the rain ; ckoonyin has no trouble with Pirelli either, can try them next if you want.

a... so wad the diff between Metz and Pirelli

cos i go to their webbie dun really see the diff (or is it i nv look hard enough)...

so can someone plz explain in detail of the pro's and con's for Metz front and rear and Pirelli front and rear...

o ya one last thing THE COST!!!!
