Hey Naim, is the offer still valid? :D

hey yanxi.. im sry but d promo is over... but if im nt wrong, its ard $150 nw.. call them to cfm b4 u go down oso... so dat u dun hv to wait ard for hours while they get stock.. :)

hi guys, just bought my phantom yesterday, have a noob quesiton. how much pressure should i pump on my tyres at the petrol station? thanks in advance :)

manual recommends 200/200.. but i'd say play ard and find the best settings for ur bike.. cux nt everyone has d same weight or riding style.. i pump 230/240.. as im ard 90kg plus i have 3 boxes.. and pillion regularly.. so i nd d extra pressure to cope wif d weight..

Wow! Thats way too much. The manual says 200 KPA with or without pillion. May be you can go upto 220 KPA anything more than that is not good for handling.

I agree.

To think that shops pump to 290 on em.

causes premature wear and uneven wear.

Just changed my rear tyre in JB yesterday. Previouly used Pirelli City Demon. I change to "Duro" brand from Thailand, RM180 after bargain, was quoted RM200. Fyi: "Viva" brand the cheapoo one (made in m'sia) cost about RM140. Change engine oil too to cheapest one "castrol" brand RM19/bottle. Welcome your comments...

stick to recommended tyre pressure.... over inflate is no good. under inflate=bad tyre wears.

rider's weight makes no diff on the tyre pressure.

abit more can get a metz

Yeah, I have never found it cheaper to buy parts in JB, whenever i have tried I have found its not worth it. Especially EO. They have so less choice and that too more expensive. Only labour is cheap there

metz is the best i used. good grip in dry and wet.

as for pressure. without pillion 200-205 is good enough.

with pillion, 210-220. anymore you risk losing contact patch surface area. as in the part of the tires that touch the ground become less and less.

im wif 3 boxes n weight about 90+ kg.. sumtyms pillions.. pump front-230 rear-240.. i knw its alot, but trust me.. if ur bike is loaded alot like mine, try this.. it works well.. no probs wif grip, even in d wet so far.. if pump ard 200-210, can feel alot of drag frm d tires and handling is bad...

I ride with 250/270, without box. I like it hard i know it's dangerous but ride with care. During rainy days i will go very slow. I ride hard cause i always cruise highway most of the time.

make sure u pump after a long run on the highway, so that it is 250/270 kPa wen its WARM... if u pump wen cold, with the heat generated from highway riding, i'd get a bit worried with the increased pressure wen the air inside expands.. :) enjoy ur ride!

Yeah there was once i pump 230 i heard the tire expanding sound i quickly stop.

So after a long run then i go pump again. I'm to lazy to go petrol station to pump so i just pump high and i pump once a month or when i feel it's soft.

Need to change the front tyre of my phantom. What would be the cheapest option? I am a very sedate rider, especially while cornering and can also ride with bald tyres and still not fall, haha. Just looking for the cheapest option to clear inspection. Thanks.
