Found my stolen bike parts.

My Pro Taper bar pad cover got stolen, I'm very annoyed that this small little thing people also wanna steal. I bought in a few of this Pro Taper 7/8 bar from USA, its not sold in Singapore, so therefore its not consider common item. But some how i found my lost item on another bike just across the street of the crime scene, guess how the suspect use it on his bike hahaha. :smile:

Well the first time i saw him he just happen to drove off. then next few days i saw him bike just across the opposite road of the crime scene, i just call the police.

Well item is sure mine, cos the Pro taper bar is not sold in Singapore at the point of time, I only order a few from USA. I believe we bikers have something in common that in our riding history, we have our bike parts stolen. And most of the time we can't do much about it except curse and swear. Cos our stolen items are small items and we just feel tat its just not worth the trouble to make police blahblah. And even if we make the effort to make the police report, the police can help much.

 

But this time round I was so happy that the accuse still dare to appear opposite the crime scene just outside the bike shop he patronise. All this years of fustration and feeling of injustice, this time is not the same anymore. I did not hesitate, just call the police. The police did came down, they manage to contact owner...............

Please describe that dumb face of the thief for us. Stolen stuffs and appear with loot near crime scene. How much brain is in that empty skull, I wonder..

These petty thieves didnt do their homework.. there's so many ways to identify items..

nowadays there are so many accessories over ebay and internet where local dealers do not import in..

Well at the end of the day the Investigation Officer from police force told me that they give him a warning.

Dear boys and girls:

I receive some pte messages about the topic. I do understand that you guys have some doubts since there a change of owner of the mention bike in the photo. You guys had notice the subject of the photo is on the handle bar and the ProTaper bar pad cover. Its never my intention to expose the owner, or target any group of biker or any bike model. I'm just posting this to let the biker community to aware about bike theft issues. Its the first time that i could found my stolen items in such circumstances. .The picture is taken on 4th April 2008. Its taken after i saw the bike second time with my stolen item, After i taken the picture, I decided that its best to let the Law Enforcer which is the Police to handle the case.
