Of coz, would be great if our Vehicle can bring us EVERYWHERE in SG.

i like to go sentosa.

but i dont tink its a gd idea.

park at vivo/hb frnt int car park then take mrt/bus in.

 

unless sentosa make a car park after the bridge but before entrance.. but then again with the IR coming up,chances of bike lots in sentosa are very slim..

 

then again all the best!

 

anyways i read a few of the signatures in the petition, some asked sentosa to ban motorcyclists.. kinda spoils the whole plan in the petittion..

ive been workin in sentosa for more than 2 years now..but nt really a chance to get my bike in that island..why?

cuz motorbike cause lot of troubles..noise..smokes...and many more..what to do..park outside..the more we argue..aiyahh....

imo, i feel that the best possible break for us is a carpark just after the bridge.

thats the best and the max they should allow.

letting riders further into the island would be bad.

not only to drivers, tourist, or sentosa's management, but also to us bikers as well.

 

senario

riding along an ulu road on sentosa,

piston jam, rider still inexperienced, jam break, fall into vegetation along with bike, unconcious.

car drive by... notices nothing!

rider rides by... notices nothing!

tourist walk by... notices nothing!

 

see what i mean?

 

but the car park after bridge thing is the best possible solution for us.

keep in mind that high class residence are gonna be built on the island soon, and many rich n famous ppl have passion for bikes like us. eg, nicholas cage aka ghost rider.

 

future home owners on the island could do well with a bike park after the bridge and a shuttle bus to bring them to and from from their home to the bike park.

 

maybe the petition should be changed and relaunched under newer terms. im sure with enough support, we'll see a change no later then 10 years time.

 

o and sorry for digging up 5 month old thread....

Home owners in Sentosa can park their park in their garage. And after paying much for a home there, you think they mind the trouble of parking under the bridge, and wait for shuttle bus to bring them home???

nah for me the best solution is to built a multi story carpark replace that Mofo seah im carpark.

ya la!! it's about time they build a MSCP there! apart from seah imm, there's no other way to park bikes at a reasonable rate. for cars, i think it's roughly the same at Vivocity carpark. For bikes, it's 65/half day against $1 for 1st 3 hours at vivo. time to make a new MSCP at seah imm!! after they build all those theme parks, i'm sure there will be some riders working there and i doubt seah imm carpark will be able to handle all those extra bikes!
