Just checked the main fuse, still intact and didn't blow. I changed it with the spare one, but still didn't work. Rectifier looks fine, I don't know how to check if it's spoilt or not.

Me and my friend had the same problem. my friend tried changing the battery and it worked. now no problem.

For me i tried to fiddle/adjust the wirings at the headlight area. i shall assume that your bike is an old S4 and most probably the wirings are worn out or something like that.

In this case...check ur battery terminal connections..it may be loose. If can't still...see if u can have a frend to help u jump start with parrallel cables from his battery to confirmed battery issue.

Stupid Hurts!.:giddy:Speed doesn't kill, mistakes does :faint:

I guess a symptom can mean many thing. I managed to rectify my problem. It happened to be my ignition key system/mechanism that was worn out. I guess the wires and metal contacts have succumbed to the elements of time and weather.

Thanks for all your advises and help.

Riding Revo now. From my 2cents opinion, the Revo feels much more smoother. However the engine generates more heat due to the better fuel efficiency EFI. I'm fine with it. Keeps me warm at night :p

Yamaha DT200WR, Piaggio Skipper 125, Yamaha WR400S, Honda Wave 125S, Honda Super Four Vtec 1, Gilera Runner VXR 200, Honda XR600R, Honda Super Four Revo, Gilera Runner ST200

Suzuki Swift, Honda Fit 06, Nissan Latio, Honda Fit 08, Toyota Wish

U bought it first hand or second? I went to a few shops n noticed that revo is cheaper than spec 3 -_- is revo problematic?

Just to enquire about one issue.. Have installed a volt meter recently on my spec3 and voltage was 12+ when engine just start.. After a while it will increase to 13+.. When I rev the engine slightly, can observe the voltage drops to 12+.. Any possible issue about this phenomena? Alot of ppl tell me is my rectifier or magnetic coil or both..

Location: Woodlands centre road(Old interchange), open carpark in front of Mcdonald

Date/time : Parked from 13 Mar 2.30pm to 14 Mar 12.30am (around 10hrs)

Police officers mentioned that i was not the only victim at the same carpark n that they have been targeting brakes. I saw another bike wif the whole engine block missing.

Best if u can avoid that carpark, or at least park somewhere that have cameras.

I wanted to post in the crime prevention thread but could not. Mods, feel free to move this or post elsewhere to warn all bikers.

Could be JB thieves, they've been known to enter SG just to steal bike parts, be wary of unknown Msian bikes at your carparks.

When installing your new brake calipers, buy a pair of new bolt and nut and reverse the mounting direction for at least 1 of the mounting screws. In this way, they will need to remove the front wheel to steal the brake calipers, making it more troublesome and also a deterrent as well.

Take note that you'll need to remove the front wheel when mounting the reverse mounting screw for the brake calipers. You can do it yourself (like I did) or pay some amount to get the motor shop to do for you.

Hi Hairi, I have been searching on the forums here for the relevant thread, but i don't see any thread that actively compares the differences between spec 2, 3, and Revo. I've taken to asking in this thread here as i see that it is a general enquiry thread.

Let me try to help u. As far as I understand,

spec 1 - vtec comes at rpm 6750 n above for all gears, old tail design, no HISS system

spec 2 - vtec comes at rpm 6300 n above for all gears, old tail design, got HISS system, fuel consumption higher but also more powerful (vtec kicks in early) than spec 1

spec 3 - vtec comes at rpm 6300 for gear 1,2,3,4,5 and rpm 6750 for gear 6, new tail design, got HISS system, fuel consumption better than spec 2

revo - same as spec 3 with the changes it's now using fuel injection system instead of carb, hence power delivery smoother but fuel consumption becomes higher

Hope it helps.
