haha 1st it's much better looking than many other 2b bikes.and it has really really low fuel consumption of about 40km/L which is = to about 1 week pump one time petrol if you use daily.has a top speed of no less than 135km/hr depending on your weight.its damn easy to maintain.and you wont mind keeping this bike to you get your class 2(like what im doing). ;) cheers!

Anyone out there who have successfully appealed against any traffic offence under rule 28 of RTR?

Rule 28 of the RTR, “No vehicle, except perambulators, shall be driven, parked or ridden on the footway of a road.”

Appreciate any speedy replies, thanks :)

hi all, with the recent edition of Motor Culture, i was truly caught by the striking looks of both the R15 and R125. However, i felt it would make more economic sense to get the R15 and mod the tail.

does anyone know how much it would cost to have it imported, and are there any good workshops to get it fitted?

i'm intending to get this bike as soon as i pass my tp, hopefully by mid-june. by the way, i'm 29..and anyone got any idea how much my insurance would cost? (the basic fire and theft one)?

thanks!

1) You can mould the R6 tail overseas and import in. Its cheaper! As for short pipe, all officially legal pipes (there's only one so far) are about the

same length as the stock pipes. If you want a short pipe, there's the Nobi exhaust (not legal). Met a R15 rider with that exhaust and he claimed he had it installed @ Wing Yap for less than $300. Alternatively, I believe one of R15 forumer, Matty, is selling away his Nobi pipe.

2) If you have the $$, why not? :) The parts are ex mainly because the bike is from Eu, thus the parts are perhaps of a higher grade..need to clarify that with our R125 bros..:) Anyway, at the end of the day, its all about your passion & of course budget..:)

Yup, economicwise its much cheaper to do so; however, performance-wise and perhaps cosmetic-wise, its definitely better to get the R125 instead. For my tail, it was imported from Indonesia at the cost of around SGD$200, installed for another SGD$180 (not including new tail-lights, license plate and mudguard. Altogether, it cost about SGD$500 to change the stock tail to a mod-R6 tail. So yup, its cheap..but to be honest, I kinda half-wanting to change back to the original tail, due to the weird seating position.

Nonetheless, I'd recommend ya to get R125 instead of the R15 if you want the sporty look. All the best with your TP! :)

Thanks!! When you mean weird sitting posture, you are referring to pilot, or pillion, or both? Is there anywhere I can take a look at a modded tail R15?
