YZF-R15 rider, GATHER!!!

hey guys i need help when i am riding on my r15 after i engage to 3rd gear and above i hear loud hissing from my fuel tank/engine is like there is something in my fuel tank and the sound is getting louder and louder each time. im new to this bike and i duno wat happened to it. the only thing i can think of is i havent send my bike for 1st service and now the mileage is about 1.6k already. someone tell me wats wrong pls im worried about my bike

Send ur bike for servicing and ask the mechanic! Why 1.6 still dun service. Labour free siah

Your bike gt mechanical failur isit? This bike gt safety precaution de. U can nv start the bike if u engage a gear and nv clutch in...

the stupid machani assemble the autostart direct to the starter. when i press my alarm for autostart then even if the gear is engage the bike still start, move off and drop... heart pain. better take away the autostart function from my bike. arg!

just dun use the autostart function lah.

later go shop remove function they charge for labour or wat/.

can service ur bike at other shops. HL onli gives free labour, u still need to pay for EO, doesn't other bike shops provide free labour too when u change EO?

im not sure about that this is the 1st time i am riding...i think ill just wait till 19 feb for service since i already booked. now the bike still can go but the sound is making me worried

reach 1000 should prepare to service liao mah... anyway, i also going for my first servicing... anyone know what is the diff if i go authorise dealer service or service from the shop that i bought from?

 

i have a car too and for cars authorise dealer service got check everything de... for bikes go shop like only change oil and other stuff but nv check for you anything de leh.

at 1.6k u shld have already completed 2 rounds of eo change

the period of running in is critical.

may affect the bike in the future.

go soon. ride lesser. HAHA

hi guys, i have been riding my bike for two mths le..mileage 8k++ le... when riding wit pillon since like the bike dun hav power... will it stress the engine??? i changed my eo every 2.5k i ride...

I use atom power instead.. Got warranty mah..

this stock tire also same as thailand kind? long durability but prone to wet condition aka slippery.

 

cos my old brand new cbr150 stock tire is as above i describe.. normally i think ppl will go for dunlop or bt39..

total weight? 2.5k is normal mah i presume, my cbr150 last time also change every 2k km, 1litre eo. what about r15?

What is the speed range for each gear?

 

Because when at Gear 6 and that approving traffic light, i slow down and i notice is 40+ km/h. I dunno to kick to Gear 3 or 4 to pick up... Always have to test each gear to find out...

What RPM do u change from gear to gear?

 

For me that mileage is

 

and

 

Example: When you are at Gear 6, speed 70km/h and you know you will stop completely at the traffic light... Do you:

 

1> Release throttle, clutch in, apply brake, stopped, tap down gear.

2> Release throttle, apply brake, clutch in before stopping, tap down gear.

3> Release throttle, engine brake of Gear 6, then tap down for engine brake of Gear 5..etc until complete stop

 

Why is ask this, is because i always notice a lot different fellow riders style of stopping. Also my previous ride's chain always loosen, dunno if it is my style of gear changing is wrong. Btw, i always use 1> Release throttle, clutch in, apply brake, stopped, tap down gear

wow.. quite x sia.. but can last long anot? lol tat broquet seem to be quite effective also seh... can use damn long also.. LOL 400,000km before changing... and it's like $59.90.. lol

broquet is like a net of balls for you to put inside your fuel tank and keep it there everytime you pump fuel. you can take it out anytime you like to put to another bike.

 

atom power is liquid mixture?
