i've read this thread from the 1st page up till the 100th page now. why is there so many outings in the past and now it seems there's no more outing for the YZF R Series?

fellow riders,

as some has feedback regarding their views on several postings, i have personally read through postings & have a few comments of myself. Across the board, no arrows attached

 

1. Joining at an early date doesn't means i senior nor know the most of stuffs. Vice versa

2. Riding a bigger bike doesn't means 2b riders are kids nor i know the most knowledge. Vice versa

3. Sbf provides this platform as a form of sharing knowledge, knowing more friends, gathering for outings, etc etc but non negative nor personal. Its your posting, sbf doesn't post.

4. As a human being regardless race, age, gender, etc, be humble. It pays. Not sure, ask. 1 answer doesn't means its correct. Double confirm. Ask again. Wanna be triple sure? No one stopping you. Internet is your best friend. Google/yahoo/watever search engine is your best buddy

 

short to say, old doesn't means good. Young doesn't means ignorant. More importantly, willing to eat the humble pie. Sbf provides, you post, others read. Whatever i (personally) do, 50/50. I never know whats replies/actions i receive next.

 

I see that the issue has more or less been settled thus this post is only a friendly reminder to all.

Hope you enjoy riding as much or more than i do.

All the best to you, await your good news but remember, be confident and not over confident. Most shop have R15v2 but what you wanna be looking for is aftersales service, goodies, interest percentage, early settle amount and more. All this you have to do your own research because different people accept different condition. It is like going to Sim Lim to buy PC, it is your experience and bargain skill that counts. Thats why they say bring someone who knows about motorcycle. Last advice to you is: please save a lot of money! Coe + insurance can hit around 3k, i don't wanna see later you out the bike for few months then sell cause no money to pay or complain the sitting position not good - just saying.

Ahhh... Sure are the warrior of the new 2B system. I must said I saw alot of people giving up mid-way and convert to cars and not many have lasted that long.

Well... Generally I appreciate your inclination towards R15 BUT!

1) did you consider other bike already? 2T newer bike to maybe some other 4T bike.. Consider that first. (cause I wouldn't know if you did that already or not but do have reasons for that)

Cause this way you will have a better hold on what bike you wanna ride. I wouldn't exactly say yammie is the best and r15 v1/ v2/ v3 per se is any better.. But it's more of a what you rather lose to gain another. There is no fast cheap, reliable, good looking bike.

 

2) Research on shops maybe? Walk around... view.. sit. Places can stretch from highly profiled place like republic motors in khaki bukit to planet motors (ubi) to bukit merah to small time firm in yishun industrial park. No rush to go and look see. There might even be willing bros to bring you around considering how lucrative your treat on drinks might be

 

3) Money. Budget and more budget cause when it comes to repair for this thing.. It might not be the cheapest but on some long run it will bite you hard. Cause electronics on this thing is pretty much troublesome and inter-linked.

One avenue is to try auto machinery. They sells authentic yamaha parts directly. Else, you might like to source ah boy or even try to find them online to see if you can ship them in.

Hey guys, I have about 10 sets of H4 White beam bulbs from Japan. It projects 6000k of brightness,longer service and close to 90% of white ray. Its most suitable for our bike as the unit power is 35/35w. PM me if u guys interested in them.

Coat them with WD40 oil.

Hey bros, i was intending to spray my whole bike for a new colour. But then i heard that do decal cheaper than spraying. Where do you guys suggest i should do my decal at?

and its alrdy rusting so will the oil remove the rust over time or will it stay liktt

if u just want plain color , spray is much worth , both ard same price . but if u want with design and more than 1 color ,decal is cheaper . but decal will have the tendency to peel off after long time under sun and rain .decal - the more well known is 219 motor and aunty shop .

Hi guys.

 

I just got my r15 a month ago so I'm pretty new to bikes. Would like to get the opinion of more experience riders here. For the version 2 model, what is the biggest battlax tyres can we fit in the bike? I know FCC will be higher and slower acceleration with fatter tyres, but would prefer the stability.

 

Also, apart from bridge stone battlax, any other tyre models that we can consider?
