wow bro Simon, read your about the story of your TW. anyone would be very very very angry and pissed with this kind of service rendered. this is seriously WTF. if i am in your shoes i will lodge a case with CASE and really ask them to investigate the business ethics of this shop. i think i know what shop you are referring to anyway. which sane mechanic will not top up engine with fresh new EO after draining out the old EO? your engine failed for a obvious reason, a lack of lubrication due to no EO. it's already amazing your bike can go on for a week before the engine failed. that shop is quite a reputable shop apparently but i am very disappointed after what i read about what they did to you and your bike. mind pming me where you brought your TW to for the engine overhaul?

@ahcaibiker: want to put this episode behind me. but they better not screw any of my friends or i won't let them off. i did up my TW at the spc station opposite my place.

if u're refering to the spc at upper thomson, i heard the uncle there does bikes really well

wa, simon, thats really a black shop... unfortunately, there's nothing we can do against them right? CASE also no use, or if there's any use, it'll take what? 10 years?

i serviced my TA200 and vara at spc pasir ris and pasir panjang, i know thomson also has spc repair centre but havent got along to check it yet. The gold eo is good imho.

@seany: where got uncle? maybe a different SPC since upper thomson very long road. this one is at jalan leban area. the mech is young chap.

 

@JackOhJack: ya, this spc has a bike repair speciality. the fella is pretty good and nice about it. today collected my mito...but didn't bring money so will pay tomorrow.

 

@Finrod: i will stick to motul and agip for my 2T oil lah

Hi Simon, sad to hear your bad experience with that bike shop. Next time, you need to service or repair your bike, I would recommend you go to any of these 3 shops: Planet motor, K & T or Unique motorworks. Most bikers have lots of good experience with these shops.

@bikeyroo: thanks man...long time no talk...gotta catch up one day. btw, i just got over to jb on my tw via woodlands...had to do up my IC there. gotta go again in an hour's time. haha!

Yeah! Unique Motorsports was my first bike shop on my first bike on my first oil change. No sense of carroting from them, instead they made me feel at ease as a new comer to motorcycling. Felt lucky to picked a good shop on my first try.
