Why U guy buy those stuff for lubricating your chains,

I read from the TA200 manual, it spell that only lub.with SAE80 or 90

gear oil, commercial chain lubricants may contain solvent which could

damage the rubber O-ring.

This is true?????????

What is so good by using those stuff U ppl were talked about!!!!!!??????????

 :goodluck:

But Think about it ,if every rider so concern & take good care of their

bike, then the commercial shops who selling those stuff wil have to

close shop.

So I will not buy 2nd.hand bike from the those have use all sort

of additive to the engine.

to warm it up, then to relube.

you shouldn't go for hard riding without relubing. your chain gets real hot very soon...

why warm up the chain after degreasing - before relubing

1. Nope. But it's good if you warmed the chain up before u lube it.

2. Can apply it right away.

If u happen to be using wax based chain lube, the viscosity of the wax lube would be rather thick and thus wun seep into your the joints of the O rings easily. But if the chain is warm or slightly hot, it melts down the wax based lube to a point where the viscosity of the lube turn thinner, den it gets into the joints of ur chain much easier.

Juz like using a candle-stick. If u dun light the candle up, it'll stay as 1 piece. But if u start lighting it up, it melts and thereafter reforms and hardens. Same concept to wax based chain lubes

Excessive lubing of chain may cause splatters and spash from the chain lube. This could dirty ur bike and if worst, could cause potential danger if the lube gets to the tires.

Concept is to lube ur chain regularly and moderately

Hi all,

My personal recommendation is to install a Scott oiler which lubes your chain evenly and consistently be it short or long distances. As its connected to your engine, the higher the rev, the more lubicant will be applied onto the chain. Previously I have been using on my super 4 for 2 years (God knows how long before hand the chain was replaced) until I sold my bike and I have never replace the chain which was still in good condition. Knowing its benefits, I install it on my busa which serves me very well also. However, things to take note are, the chain still has to be cleaned with diesel which i was using before. Always nice to c that the chain is glossy shiny witha coat of lubicant.

It might cost some money to install but I must say this is my most sound investment i have made on a bike so far, now that I riding a runner, who cares as there s no chain.

Point to take note is also a get a certifed mechanic to as my previous encounter at motorworld got it fixed wrongly which result in my busa always died at long idle. Me not sale person for Scottoiler but this really helps in prolonging the chain life so a lazy rider like me.

Hope this helps. Happy cleaning.

Any1 any recommandation at where to get good chain Lub? I mean those that stick to the chain and will not spill all over the wheel rim type. :bounce: :bounce:

Good day,

You can try the MOTUL chain wax spray....it is stick and performance is good..But after you spray the chain, you must left your bike for 7 hour fior the MOTUL chain wax to be sticky..

I see...

But wouldn't the lube set-in time be shortened if you warmed up the chain by riding your bike around a bit?

if the lube is darn sticky, wouldn't it stick to the rollers( btwn each chains ) so tight

that they would not move freely.

Yep, 2 thumbs up for Maxima...

It doesn't leave any white residue.

(But it makes silvery-white chains yellow in colour when applied; hope you don't mind)
