Hi all,

I am looking to get a cheap automatic vespa to scoot around and I found this bike with the following specs. Is it worth getting?

  1. Vespa ET8
  2. 125cc
  3. 4 stroke
  4. 1 owner
  5. 10yr old renew COE
  6. 74000km
  7. New paint of my choice
  8. New trim
  9. New switches
  10. New belt
  11. 1 time Servicing
  12. Original box

Bike alone cost $2K

Bike with new paint $2.8k

Bike with new paint and box $3k

Is it worth?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Ah Chi

Hi all,

Just got my 2B license back after 20 years of expiring and 3 years of starting, stalling, restarting n finally...

Anyways, obviously I gotta get a ride and is considering two options- a used or a brand new Vespa.

If I get a used Vespa (I've seen those older ones at few hundreds to few Ks), what should I be looking out for? Maintenance?

I remember the old PX are all "manual", right? I'm used to the normal clutch, etc but the Vespa's???

Thank you all.

buy the lx150! it's automatic, with no gears. It's a modern looking version of the vespa's plus it's comfortable and smooth to ride on....but u will have to pay quite a hefty price for it. I got mine for around 7.9k

Hi, i was thinking of getting a vespa.. but i don know which is best for a first time rider.. any advice??

And what shld i know frm the head to toe of maintaining a vespa... Pls Help!!!!

hi, if u are on budget,i suggest u get a 2nd hand vespa px or older version although its manual hand geared not like those u learn at riding schools.u'll get the hang.maintenance wise mayb ard 30 plus(could be cheaper ask ard) for every 4mths or so if ur engine is gd.

If money is not an issue, go for a modern vespa den like lx150,vespa S etc. i nv ride a modern b4 so i cannot comment on the maintenance area.its has a nice pick up i think. anyway, im riding a vespa px150e myself (5mth plus) , and loving the sound.P plate :)

The wiki is a decent resource for newbies... thanks mostly to all the good souls who keep it updated... Rock on...

Have a read...

and try and write your message posts with less vague titles... that way more Vespa folk are likely to click...

All the best :)
