Yamaha TMAX 530cc VS Honda silverwing 852cc VS Suzuki burgman 650cc ??? which is better ??

Honda silverwing 852cc

??Does SW have a 852cc ??

The above scooters are for very different intention? Sport handling? Comfort or executive looks?

personal Exp, if ur lookin at maxi scoot, do look at the underseat storage of those ur interested in. Big fat fast maxi r the burger650, sw400/600, tmax 500/530. I love the tmax to bits but my pocket doesn't allow...

Since u lookin at 200cc at 7-8k. Suggest u get a x8, x9 or Atlantic for 3k+/-, den rebuild it for 1-3k n keep the rest of ur $. Used to hav an Atlantic, got it 3yr old used, replaced every wear n tear for abt 2k. No prob aft dat. Fc range from 25-30km/L depending on ridin style. But do take note, skip the polini n malossi stuffs, u'll hate them if ur lookin for a SMOOTH RIDE.

I LOVE my R1!!!:shades:

Hello uncle I totally agree with you...I am looking for scooter below 200 cc..budget 7-8k

I'm riding a Downtown 125i, but for a brand new one, it's over your budget. More like over $9k. =(

But I ride like a "Jerk", full throttle, heavy braking, am getting 30km/L (running on soft compound tyres). The stock tires could give me 35.5km/L easily.

I believe if I rode gentler, more relax relax, shouldn't be a problem getting 33km/L on soft, 38-40km/L on stock tires =D

I have changed my Sparkz to Gilera runner ST 200 3 months ago. Before that I was

Comparing pcx 125 with runner st200 and I choose runner ST 200. Reason;

-bigger cc

- production Italy

- bigger size (I am quit tall 1.77m)

The only disadvantage is the fc , pcx has much better fc.

Anyone ever rode scooter during rainy day? Can you pls share your experience ? Will it be more slippery and prone to skidding during cornering ? Will it affect the rider's view since the windshield does not have a wiper? How safe was it to ride in the rain as compared to street bike? I have not ride or own any scooter yet, hope that I can get some feed back here before I switch to scooter.

And it also happens to all bikes, the difference is the weight.. The view will be blury at times as the rain will hit your visor.. best to just park under a shelter and wait till the rain lessen..

During heavy rain might be a problem as scooters are light and aqua planning might occur even in low speeds..

Some scooters are heavier than sports / street bikes. The difference is in weight balance. Scooters are rear heavy because of the riding position and components location. So don't expect sharp turning. In fact, scooters are better when riding in rain due to extra protection (windshield, front fairing, floorboard); feet stays drier. Whether aquaplane or not depends on riding speed, amount of water and tyre threads / condition.

Seems like you are all out to get a vespa bro, based on your requirements, i think a GT200 would be good for you, but like other have said, they are not being manufactured anymore, and its hard to find one in good condition, and, as with all italian vehicles, electrical problems will really piss you off. Currently the only one suitable for you is a LX150, but might be a problem if you are going uphill, it doesn't have that much power.

Classic Vespa's are actually quite powerful cos they're 2 stroke, just becareful of them bottoming out when you go over a big hump. My exhause pipe is getting flatter each day.

Is Downtown the overall best scoot for 2A?

My previous rides: A Pulsar Rider (27/4/2006), A S4 Vtec III Bolder Rider (12/6/2007), SYM GTS 200 (/12/2013),

i don't believe fly150 only hit 23km/l. my runner200 can even hit average 26km/l.

first of all, you need to inspect your riding behaviour. do you pull your throttle like a jerk? do you on the roads need to apply break often? do you normally riding on roads with lots traffic lights?

second, check your engine oil, remember to replace engine oil as recommended scheduled.

a fly150 could hit 32km/l at least with proper riding behaviour and well maintenance.

my recommendation bike:

2A: Gilera Runner ST 200

2B: Kymco Downtown 300i

2: Yamaha TMAX

I use to have a skipper 4T for 10 years since new. Same engine as fly. i am only getting 21km/l to 22km/l top speed onli 109km/h. And that's for 10 years.

Currently juz using yamaha nxc 125.

Dont know if its the best but after some asking around for servicing cost.

It cost only 140$ for a full servicing include belts, clips, oil etc. Cheap cheap

And top speed from its meter im getting 105km/h

Maybe its a old bike but my pick up aka low end seems abit odd. Its slow and a lil jerky n it does switch off when at idle

Fuel consumption is around 210km range for a 7.1 litters tank.

Once i hit mid end bike seems responsive till its top end. Quite a smooth ride
