My bike cant start n i suspect my rectifier or coil hving problem. Any 1 knows the charges to change them or any shops with gd deals? Im riding R1 09

You can try checking whats the problem first... maybe starter carbon.. as i experienced it previously.. only 100$ fix.. if anything major? try EBAY . cheaper. only pay for labour

bro, did u replace the coolant recently? maybe it's overfill.

 

yeah replaced coolant recently. i opened out the fairing and the coolant is still in decent level.

hopefully it is overfill, have to monitor it.

u meant air leak? if air leak may need to replace the cylinder head. 07 model is famous with the stalling issue. not same.

 

stalling issue is it expensive to get it repaired??? Thanks for replying to my previous post. =)

if u refer back previous posts, u can try throttle body wash which cost about sgd150+ i think. some oso play around the throttle body screw (can search in youtube). more expensive solutions would be replacing TPS, ECU.

 

anyway, better check clutch cable instead before go for above solutions.

Hi guys, recently my R1 has been experiencing loud tapping/knocking noises during cold start. I read online it could be due to valve clearance issues...anyone of you guys experience the same thing as me? Any reputable places to have a decent valve clearance done with a decent price? Thanks bros hope for some advice.

maybe it's the cam tensioner. anyway, it's normal if it goes away when engine warms up.

 

in my opinion, if it's valve clearance issue, u will hav difficulty in starting the bike.

Yup it goes away after it gets warmed up. Hmm alright will monitor the situation. Hopefully nothing major will happen. Thanks bro!

end can not much la... unless it's full system. then need to go for dyno to get better fc.

Get it at Worx Motorsports 10 kaki bukit rd 2. I got it there. LHS & RHS around $300. R&G brand:thumb:
