should be able to push start as last mth my batt also flat out wif mi... but rolling down e mscp does e trick to push start e bike... tik once e bike start u beta faster go bike shop loh...

 

hmm once the bike can start , meaning the bat will charge , so i still go bikeshop for?:cheeky:

erm.. i think is becoz the batt is weak liao.. need to fully recharge.. for me every 2 or 3 days ride.. the batt also will feel weak.. i think r1 batt leak quite fast.. haha..

 

so call desulphate or what ? lol

thats quite a normal price for start motor ... but FYI, starter motor rarely gets spoil cause its function is just to start a car or bike and after that, its just a useless piece of metal that adds on to your bike's weight only .... thats why its call a starter motor .... and also u can service the starter motor for its carbon and it will be as good as new again unless it gets short circuited like once your bike is started, u itchy finger go press the start button for fun/frequently. other than that shouldnt get spoil that easy

i very piss off with HongLeong services, my bike went for full overhauled, and yet they cant even spot this fault.( my 2 bearing gone, alternator, magnet/ magnetcoil) going to cost me more than 1k now.Tml i am going to HL screw them jia lat jia lat. i hope they r going to be responsible for my bike!

 

Any updates on ur repair issues?

beta go chk on ur batt ba.. my bike can start but went down shop to chk and its my batt tats the goner.. well... if your no pro dan tats great news...

u mean bcoz of starter moto spoil they overhauled ur engine??

 

i overhauled not bcoz of my starter motor. i overhauled due to other reason.

dat time my magneto spoil also abt dat price...

Magneto + magneto coil + batt = $1200 +

I do find my 08 R1's battery not so strong also. Especially after 5 days never ride. Some more the battery was quite new, just changed late last year at planet motor. :sian:

 

Generally R1 takes longer to start, must press for like 2 secs, compared to my old fazer 6, press 1 sec or less start liaoz. :faint:

R1 original battery is indeed expensive as it is of gel like substance inside, unlike those dry or wet type.

 

Cost about 160+- for those gel ones. The 80 type is those compatable ones ....
