I don’t know much about scramblers but the pick up of a drz deserves some praise :D

if you want extreme pickup and have the cash to blow. get a wr250f.

nothing u cannot get out of a 250cc 2 stroker for pickup. anytime anyday. it will fly for you. but the cost of it is around 10k - 18k.

personally i feel drz is just for the looks. power wise no comment.

Wr400 seems good too. can undergo cosmetics upgrade as well as performance parts. KTM400 seems good too. not sure about xr400.

Motard FTW :) 1.7L of EO change with the DRZ-SM (1.8L w/ oil filter change). 1 spark plug. as compred to inline 4, well. 4 plugs, plus almost 3.7L of EO change, just imagine the savings you can save from just servicing! HAHA! scrams high maintainability? i doubt so.

Drop your fairing bike and u will be looking at around 300-400 worth of fairing change, drop your scram, haha it just adds on to the "rugged" look! or maybe just get the plastic changed, which is much cheaper than fairings IMO. :)

just my 0.02 cents.

ha, just kick the handles if they go outta alignment and u are good to go. install handguards and ur levers won't break. and if u have sliders on your front and back axles, should be only scratches on the sliders. oh yah, not forgetting the foot peg sliders as well.

As for plastics if they get damaged, just change the plastic? which is fairly cheap.

but if u high side, den i dunno what will happen to the bike alrd. just FYI. :)

scrams to meant to be dropped :)

haha agree... just patch up with decal and it will look good again. crashes aren't always that bad because we don't go very fast on dirt.

reminds me of this video.... compilation of 101 ways to fall off your scram.

in my signature before, my friend cross rut and his bike flew onto mine. i was trying to free my bike from the deep rut.... until i looked up and saw a wheel spinning above my head  he was fine, bike was fine, a few others came to help after he did a quick pose for the camera. and we continued our mud fest.

you want all-in-one, get drz la. pickup is better than most bikes, FC is not as bad as most 400cc bikes. can use for touring, can use for off-road riding, can use for track riding, can use as transport also.

its really depends on your knees too bro..

if you got weak knees, just take one with the ""magic" button.

on the other hand, if you got strong knees then the skies the limit!

looking for drz parts, any parts will do!

For someone who praises a drz pickup, he has obviously not rode an xr4 b4.. The bike wld go off leaving u behind if u didnt hold onto the handles tight haha..

Drz nice to look at new age sm not considered a scram.. A 400 that doesnt feel like a 400..

Owned both xr4 & drz b4 thus making a statement..
