I itchy for brand new ones...but waiting till end of Dec or early next year when my age will cross over to the cheaper side of the insurance and was hoping the yamaha 1200 dual sport bike come into the scene.

well i took time to think why i wanted to change bike..the key elements and seems the tdm fit the bill. having riding the ST11 n STX for about 4 yrs. Trying a lighter diff engine layout was refreshing but cause TDM has a similar history as ST that reassured my choice. Desgined from the scratch up.

OK I know TDM and ST are 2 diff bikes but instantly V4 and paratwin feels quite diff.

 

TDM more willing to rev and move off more like a bee... and I would say this twin is more similar to a duke.(compare to my prev duke - LTwin) apparently it does behave similar. a Veetwin is totally diff.

 

BTW any advise on running in. riding slow making me so sian. idiot merc driver horn me when i on slowest lane...

Accessories that I WANT..hahahah

 

Pls advise on brand and who to get from.

 

1) mainstand - original ex but which is the best.

2) Crashbar - want to folow AJ pattern.

3) skid plate - AJ where leh...i dun want belly pan.

4) handle bar guard - should i change handle bar or with guard only? current handle bar kinda tiring cause i short.

5) windshield - must get proper one..too used to st electronic adjustable somemore, was thinking MRA due to the extra piece but many advise eagle good???

6) panneirs and box - SWmotech Trax. Any similar cheaper alternative?

7) Exhaust - I heard got 3 people here got Leo vince!!! Take how come come i wanna hear!!! u also nyuke....

8) fog lights or extra lights ... this one can slowly
